THIN MDF LACQUERED BOARDS
EGGER Thin MDF lacquered boards are coated with a water based lacquer either on one
or both sides.
1 LACQUERING
On an electronically controlled high-capacity lacquering
line, large sheets of MDF are continuously passed through
a cylinder based coating process. The applied lacquers
correspond to the latest technological developments.
A standard range of more than 100 decors allows various
design options.
2 FOLDING
The boards can now be folded thanks to a specialised
folding machine, which creates a virtually seamless fold
with PU gluing using EGGERs patented technology.
PROCESSING OPTIONS:
DRILLING: Almost any drilling format is possible in
accordance with customer requirements. Quotations are
submitted following technical clarication.
CNC DRILLING / ROUTERING: With this process, line drillings
in the popular 32 mm grid pattern are also available, as are
router cuts with a diameter in excess of 20 mm. Quotations
are submitted following technical clarication.
NOTCHING: Almost any types of notches are possible in
accordance with customer requirements. Quotations are
submitted following technical clarication.
BEVEL CUTS: Bevel cuts can be carried out to precise
dimensions. Quotations are submitted following technical
clarication.
PERFORATIONS: For specic requirements, lines of holes
can be punched into the lacquered boards. Examples:
acoustic applications, point of sale designs. Quotations are
submitted following technical clarication.

CHARACTERISTICS
1 FLEX LAMINATE SPECIAL LAMINATE FOR
POSTFORMING REQUIREMENTS
EGGER FLEX Laminate was developed to meet special
postforming requirements. Due to its exibility, this
laminate can be used to postform elements with a radius
< 3 mm (depending upon the laminates thickness).
COMPACT LAMINATES
EGGER compact laminates and EGGER compact laminates Flammex Euroclass B are compact
laminates according to DIN EN 438-4:2005, with a black core. EGGER compact laminates Flammex
Euroclass B are low ammability boards that meet the special requirements of DIN EN 13501-1 in
case of re. Both compact laminate grades are especially suitable for classic interior applications
such as tables, work surfaces and wall cladding. The boards have a multilayer structure consisting
of melamine resin impregnated decorative papers and several kraft core papers impregnated with
phenolic resins. Depending on the area of application and requirements, a special overlay can be
applied to the decor side to resist abrasion.
COMPACT LAMINATES
The boards are suitable for interior applications, with normal
ammability but cannot be postformed. The standard core colour
is black with brown as optional. Low-ammability EGGER compact
laminates Flammex Euroclass B are classied as CGF (Compact
General-purpose Flame-retardant) according to DIN EN 438-4:2005,
and are only available with a black core. Classication: B - s2, d0
according to DIN EN 13501-1:2007. Both grades can be produced with
maximum dimensions of 5600 2060 mm (220.47 81.10).
2 MICRO LAMINATE THIN LAMINATE FOR
WRAPING AND COVERING
This laminate quality is perfectly suited for covering
boards and wrapping proles.
3 GENUINE METALLIC LAMINATE SPECIAL LAMINATE
WITH A REAL ALUMINUM SURFACE
These laminates feature a genuine aluminium surface
and combine the appeal of metal with a cool elegance.

CHARACTERISTICS
LOW FLAMMABILITY PRODUCTS FLAMMEX
The Flammex product spectrum ofers a range of low ammability products that provide additional
protection in case of a re. When a re starts, the boards are able to delay the ash-over point
(the time it takes until the re fully develops). This can signicantly increase the amount of time
available to initiate emergency response measures.
In addition to the essential protective function in case of re, low ammability EGGER products
also guarantee design versatility thanks to decors and colours that match other products.

Promoting Sustainable
Forest Management
www.pefc.org
In our core values we have allocated the sustainable use of wood-based materials
as the highest priority.
FROM TREE TO PRODUCT A CLOSED CYCLE
We use fully integrated locations where we recycle the wood. This extends from the solid wood production in
the sawmill, up to the production of wood-based materials such as laminate oorings. Wood residues and
recycled wood that cannot be used in production are utilised as thermal fuel in our biomass power plants to
generate energy for production. We therefore optimise our use of wood to help protect our climate.
We have incorporated all the processes of our philosophy into our ecological cycle.
* PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certication Schemes)
and/or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
RECYCLING AND THERMAL UTILISATION OF WOOD
Part of the wood we use consists of recycled wood residues.
Those wood materials that accrue during production and
which cannot be used materially are used in our biomass
power plants. The energy created through this is utilised for
the drying of the cut timber and in the production of wood-
based materials.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION STARTS WITH
SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY
Responsible and sustainable forestry has the highest
priority at EGGER. For the production of wood materials
EGGER exclusively uses wood from forest thinnings and
waste wood in selected quality from sawmills, as well as
suitable recycled wood. Within the chain of custody, our
plants are PEFC* and / or FSC*-certied depending on
the availability of wood.

save the environment 1.53 mill. tons CO per year,
and through our biomass power plants we annually achieve a

ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATIONS
We had the sustainability and environmental compatibility of
our products conrmed through independent tests and have
presented this information in our environmental product
declarations (EPDs). These are used in certifying the
sustainability of buildings. EPDs are available for all key EGGER
product groups. Moreover, we have certicated our plant in
Unterradlberg (AT) in 2010 Environmental Management and
Audit Scheme.This voluntary environmental management
system supports EGGER with the continuous improvement
of the company environment protection.
Various building certication systems are currently in use, such as DGNB in Germany, HQE
in France, Breeam in Great Britain and LEED in the USA. A European standard-setting body
is working towards convergence of the existing standards.
