This dress will make any Barbie doll happy. Our model

Size
Fits any 11 Barbie or Barbie-like doll.
Youll need
Knitca Lovely, 100% bamboo yarn:
approx. 30m (33 yds) of color #2738 Navy Blue and
approx. 20m (22 yds) of color #0001 White
double-pointed bamboo needles size 3.25mm (US size
3) or size to obtain gauge, darning needle.
Gauge
10 cm x 10 cm (4 x 4) = 20 stitches and 31 rows.
Note
The dress is seamless to avoid bulky sides. It is knitted in circle in one piece from bottom up
and the shoulder seams are grafted.
Stitch Pattern
The first two rows are made in garter stitch (knit all stitches in every right side and wrong side
row), the rest of the dress is made in stockinette stitch (knit all stitches in right side rows, purl
all stitches in wrong side rows)
Instructions
With Navy Blue yarn cast on 44 stitches and distribute them evenly between 4 DPN needles
(11 stitches on each needle). Mark point of joining stitches in a circle with a stitch marker. Put
another stitch marker between 22
nd
and 23
rd
stitches.
Row 1, 2: Navy Blue yarn - knit 44 sts in garter stitch.
Rows 3 to 53: stockinette stitch.
Rows 3, 4: Navy Blue yarn - knit 44 sts.
Row 5: Navy Blue yarn - knit 2 together, knit 20 sts, knit 2 together, knit 20 sts.
Rows 6, 7, 8: Navy Blue yarn knit 42 sts.
Row 9: Navy Blue yarn knit 2 together, knit 19 sts, knit 2 together, knit 19 sts.
Row 10: Navy Blue yarn knit 40 sts.
Rows 11, 12: White yarn knit 40 sts.
Row 13: White yarn knit 2 together, knit 18 sts, knit 2 together, knit 18 sts.
Rows 14, 15, 16: White yarn knit 38 sts.
Row 17: White yarn knit 2 together, knit 17 sts, knit 2 together, knit 17 sts.

Row 21: Navy Blue yarn knit 2 together, knit 16 sts, knit 2 together, knit 16 sts.
Rows 22, 23, 24: Navy Blue yarn knit 34 sts.
Row 25: Navy Blue yarn knit 2 together, knit 15 sts, knit 2 together, knit 15 sts.
Rows 26, 27: Navy Blue yarn knit 32 sts.
Row 28: Navy Blue yarn knit 2 together, knit 14 sts, knit 2 together, knit 14 sts.
Rows 29, 30: Navy Blue yarn knit 30 sts.
Row 31: White yarn knit 2 together, knit 13 sts, knit 2 together, knit 13 sts.

Rows 35, 36: White yarn knit 26 sts.

Rows 38, 39, 40: White yarn knit 24 sts.
Rows 41, 42, 43, 44: Navy Blue yarn knit 24 sts.
Row 45: Navy Blue yarn bind off 3 sts, knit 9 sts, bind off 3 sts, knit 4 sts, bind off 1 sts,
knit 4 sts.

Shaping front neckline:
Row 46: bind off 1 stitch on each side of the neckline. Then knit shoulder straps for 7 more
rows. Slip stitches of finished straps to a stitch holder.

Shaping back neckline:
Knit 9 sts for 3 rows, then in row 49: knit 3 sts, bind off 3 sts, knit 3 sts. Rows 51-53: knit 3
sts of each strap separately, then slip stitched of finished straps to a stitch holder.

Chart
Please, refer to the chart on page 3 for illustration to the written instructions above. The chart
shows the dress in flat, though the dress is knitted in circle (just as a map represents the
globe). The white space on the chart means there are no stitches.

Finishing:

Graft (refer to the picture on the left) stitches of front and back
side of each shoulder strap together. Sew the yarn ends to the
dress on the wrong side.
