SUBJECT: CPC CHILDRENS MINISTRY REGIONAL WEEKEND

The Adventist Childrens Ministries Department of Central Papua Conference will be conducting a
Childrens Ministry Regional Weekend on the 18
th
to the 20
th
of October 2013.

The focus of this program is to Empower Leaders in the area of Children and especially to develop
Leadership skills and abilities in organizing Childrens Ministry in the Local churches and making the
Childrens Committee workable.

The Guest speakers of this program will be the General Conference Childrens Ministry Director and
the South Pacific Childrens Ministry Director respectively.

Your church is required to send the following participants listed in the training information to the CPC
Childrens Ministry Regional Weekend.

A registration fee of K100.00 for each church participating in the Training must be paid at Ela Beach
before the 30
th
of August. [K100.00 per Church]
Fill in the registration forms and send them to the childrens ministries office before the 30
th
of August
or within the Month of July 2013.

See Mrs Herrieth to pay your registration fee at the CPC office by the month of July and August.

What you need to know about the CPC Childrens Ministry Regional
Weekend?

The Childrens Ministry Directors for the General Conference and South Pacific Division are visiting
and conducting workshop for the Leaders in the area of Childrens Ministry in October this year.
They will be here as part of their visit but will involve in conducting workshops and leading out in our
worship services on specific areas of the Childrens Ministry to empower all the Leaders in the Local
churches who are dealing with children.
The work shop topics are:
Why Minister to Children? Biblical, E. G. White, Barna and research.
Intergenerational worship
Building Faith With GraceLink Overview
Family Discipleship/worship - Launching of the Daily Bites Resources.
Prayer and Children
Family Service and SHINE project
Importance of Childrens Committee
This is the first time for the World Leader of the childrens Ministry Department to visit our conference
and its one of those opportunities that we cannot miss therefore organized as a church and plan to
attend this important gathering.

1. Church Pastors / Ministers / Volunteers
2. Childrens Ministry Elder or any church Elder
3. Adventist Childrens Ministry Leaders
4. Family Life leaders
5. Sabbath School Superintendent OR Either Sabbath school Leader
6. Childrens Sabbath School Teachers and Leaders. [Beginners, Kindergarten, Primary, Junior,
Earliteens and Corner Stone.
7. Education Leader
8. YAPA Leaders Youth, Pathfinder, Ambassadors and Adventurer
9. Womens Ministry Leaders.

LOCAL CHURCHS AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Notify participants required to attend.
2. Fill in Registration form and include names of all the Leaders under each Department.
3. Submit registration forms by the month of July or the 31
st
of August 2013.
4. Assist in Transporting participants to the venue.
5. Organize your own lunch.
6. Assist with Registration fee of K 100.00.
7. Submit to the office of the Childrens Ministry Director names of Children Leaders in your
Church from the year 2009 2013. Send through my email on RBatu@cpc.adventist.org.pg or
text to 72320242.
8. To those of you in the Rural Districts and churches the department kindly requests that you
organize your church accommodation, meals and Transportation. Find attached together with
these information are information on places in town with very good offer on accommodation
that you can organize in advance before October.

OTHER REMINDERS

1. If your church has Paid Registration and given the names for attendance, just fill in the
registration form and return to the Childrens Ministry office.
2. Submit all registration forms on time.
3. This Program requires Committeement of all the required participants in attendance from Friday
Evening to Sunday.
4. Accommodation, Transportation and food for the rural churches are a priority so organize the
following in advance so that you are able to attend this special program.

NOTICE FOR THE RURAL DISTRICTS/LOCAL CHURCHES

Below are accommodation places in Port Moresby which your church can book into for the weekend
program in Port Moresby in October. All ladies can stay in two rooms while all the men stay in another
room as well. Calculate the costs and book and pay your bookings in advance for convenience sake.
Ask your relatives in Port Moresby to find suitable places and book for your accommodation.
# Another place I can recommend is Carr Adventist School. Write letters to the school for the use of
one classroom during the dates for this program. Carr has toilet and shower room facilities.
# Rentals for Carr School is K80.00 per night.
