WEB CAM RACING CAMS

AUTOMOTIVE • ATV • MOTORCYCLE SIDE BY SIDE • PWC • SNOWMOBILE

W EB-CAM has been hard welding and grinding cams since 1945. With our knowledge, and

long time involvement with the racing industry

WEB-CAM has proven to be the best.

O ur nickel based hardfacing alloys are homoge- nious materials containing complex microscop-

ic bi- and tri-metallics. These weld overlays greatly

enhance the erosion and abrasion resistance of our hard welded parts. In addition, they offer very high thermal fatigue resistance.

D uring our welding process a metallurgical bond is achieved with the substrate and extremely

smooth finishes of below one RMS can be readily achieved with our finishing capabilities. The over- lay’s natural lubricity and their resistance to gaul- ing coupled with these low RMS finishes mean less wear on both our cams and your mating surfaces. These are the finest camshafts available.

W EB-CAM is constantly designing new profiles for new applications, so if you want up to the

minute information please don't hesitate to call us directly. WEB-CAM is here to help you.

T his catalog lists WEB-CAM's most popular prod- ucts and services. Many of our products have

helped racers win national championships and set national and world records. The top professionals have put their trust in our constant research and development program that includes race track and dyno testing.

W hether you choose a cam for street, strip or off-road, you can be certain the same atten-

tion to detail is given to all applications.

W EB-CAM offers one of the largest selections of camshaft services available. Listed in

this catalog are our most popular applications. If your application is not listed, please contact us, we can probably help you. Stock or high performance grinds are available. We suggest you contact our factory for specific prices and applications.

ANTIQUE CAM RESTORATION

O ver the years, WEB-CAM has developed, ground and carefully stored thousands of mas-

ter cams for cars and motorcycles dating as far back as the early 1900’s. With this extensive col- lection of originals, combined with the many years of experience working with them, we have become the natural choice of antique restorers worldwide for their camshaft work.

T he following pages are packed with in- formation to help you make the best

choice of camshaft performance for your particular application. To help you better understand what we are making refer- ence to, and to help in any comparisons you might be making, we offer the expla- nations below.

VALVE LIFT All figures for valve lift indicate the total travel of the valve from the seated (or fully closed position) to its fully open position. The figures are given in decimal inches.

DURATION This is the advertised duration and is used for comparison only.

DURATION @.050 This is the duration checked at 0.050" of valve lift with zero valve lash. All duration figures refer to the amount of time (expressed in degrees of crank- shaft rotation) that the valve is off its seated (or closed) position.

GRIND NUMBER The grind number is a WEB-CAM reference denoting the master cam or tooling we would be using for that partic- ular application.

DESCRIPTION We have briefly listed an explanation of the performance changes and/or general uses for which each grind is in- tended. If you need more detailed infor- mation, have any questions, or need advice on which profile will work best with the other performance accessories on your vehicle, please do not hesitate to contact WEB-CAM directly.

PART NUMBERS Regrind: Any part number listed under "Regrind" indicates that we will pre- cision grind your camshaft to the specifi- cations indicated. Note that in many cases, you can reduce your down time by purchasing a cam core outright in ad- dition to the grind. Please refer to the current price list or contact us for com- plete details.

Hardweld: On some profiles, WEB- CAM welds a hard-face overlay to the ex- isting lobe of your camshaft using the most advanced alloys. This has proven extremely durable. In addition, all of the same details for cores and outright cam purchases indicated under "Regrind" ap- ply. These are the finest camshafts avail- able.

New Cam: All part numbers listed under "New Cam" refer to the specifica- tions precision ground onto a new cast camshaft. All grinds are carefully checked and double heat treated for long life. No exchange is necessary as this is an outright purchase.

If you have any questions about the contents of this catalog, or the services WEB-CAM has to offer, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our technical as- sistance people will be glad to help you in ordering the correct grind for your use. Again, if you have any questions, please contact us directly at 951.369.5144 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Mon- day thru Friday Pacific Time. We take pride in our products and enjoy giving our customers fast, efficient service. To help speed your order along, please keep in mind the following:
