nationally to exemplary high-school juniors who use their gifts and talents to positively impact their schools and local
communities, rewards high achieving students who dedicate themselves to service
Strong, Smart and Bold $2500 Award 2009: Regional essay competition, was the honored winner in Smart category,
glass trophy presented at reception honoring the organization Girls, Inc which promotes girls to be strong, smart and bold
Homecoming Court Runner Up 2009: Nominated and voted by peers for my extensive school involvement

National Charity League (Mother Daughter Charity League (2006-2010), President 2008: monthly meetings, taught
leadership skills, prepared agenda and followed Roberts Rules of Order, performed charity work with mothers including
feeding homeless, working at thrift shops, senior citizen visits and formal tea party; breast cancer bag stuffing and race
volunteers, back to school drives, food pantry donations, holiday parties for foster children, thanksgiving food sorting
Bachman Youth Fund 2008, 2009: Selected from applicants around Atlanta to serve on a board to determine which local
charitable organization would received stipends from the $30,000 fund, investigated 501c charities, examined financial
records, presented reports; attended award dinner wherein I spoke on behalf of the students to present the winning 3 charities
their award, currently researching charities for next spring, my goal is to find an inner city youth organization as a recipient
WEB Dubois Society 2008, 2009: Fostering academic excellence in African American Students, weekly meetings, annual
Step Up Forum with educational skits for several hundred 8th grade students whom were encouraged to join our organization
which requires a 3.0 average, aimed at decreasing educational divide between African American students and their
White/Asian counterparts, my goal is to be a fellow while attending Georgia Tech to encourage ongoing academic excellence
