DR. DAVID EDLUND, DMD
Dr. David Edlund, graduated a
Presidents Scholar in 1978 for
Southern Illinois University with a
Bachelors degree in Chemistry and a
minor in Physics and Math. He
matriculated to SIU-Edwardsville to
complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1982. That same
year he moved to Colorado to start his practice. Dr.
Edlunds passion for Dentistry is evident in that his offce
offers state of the art dental care utilizing 3D digital
imaging, digital 2D radiography, Nd-YAG laser periodontal
therapy, I.V. and oral sedation, Zeiss microscopy, as well
as CAD/CAM dentistry.
DR. TIM WALKER,
RADIOLOGIST
In 1995, Dr. Walker built a dental
practice from scratch, Timothy F
Walker DDS, PC. His practice was
focused primarily as a general dental
offce with a secondary focus on TMD
and comprehensive dentistry. Walker completed the
Masters degree program in Dental Diagnostic Science with
a certifcate in Oral Maxillofacial Radiology in May of 2011.
Quality assurance in digital radiography and TMD are his
primary areas of interest both clinically and for research.
Walker is currently an assistant Prof. of Oral Maxillofacial
Radiology in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at
Creighton University School of Dentistry.
DR. NICHOLAS EGBERT,
DDS MDS FACP
Dr. Nicholas Egbert received his
Bachelors of Science in Medical Biology
at the University of Utah, completed his
Doctor of Dental Surgery at Creighton
University, and earned his Masters of
Dental Science evaluating the accuracy of CT generated
implant guides at the University of Tennessee. Egbert
maintains a private practice limited to surgical
prosthodontics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and won the Top 5
Prosthodontic Private Practices in the Nation award in
October of 2013. Dr. Egbert is one of the two board
certifed prosthodontists in the state of Utah, and currently
serves as the president of the Utah Prosthodontic Society.
ANGELA GUANZINI,
RDA, CDD
Ms. Guanzini is a national speaker,
educator and author with over 13 years
of clinical experience specializing in
digital dentistry and CAD/CAM
technology along with its utilization
and integration into the modern dental practice. She was
instrumental in forming a Certifcation program for
auxiliaries and technicians, the CAD/CAM Dental
Designers (CDD), which provides a recognized advanced
competency in the digital space. Ms. Guanzini is also
leading the profession through promotion of NINJA
dentistry "No, Im Not Just any Assistant, expanding
the utilization of the dental team through delegation and
advanced education.

CONE BEAM CT FOR THE GENERAL PRACTITIONER
with Dr. David Edlund, DMD
Dr. Edlund uses cone beam in his offce and will be sharing case studies demonstrating how it has
improved his patients care and his practice. How can the GP afford this technology? Dr. Edlund
will share how having the technology is affordable and show how you can actually use it in your
day-to-day practice.

with Dr. Tim Walker, Radiologist
Dr. Walker will present a series of 2D images and cone beam volumes to show you what is correct
anatomy and what may be abnormalities. This program is designed to give you guidance in reading
the scans yourself and when to send them out to be read. He will show you why taking a scan could
help the patient and increase your treatment plans.

with Dr. Nicholas Egbert

This session will include targeted information on how to identify and track key performance
indicators and key reporting to streamline offce operations, improve insurance claims and
collections effciencies. This course will also include tips on keeping patients active and ways
to increase production and enhance patient care by having effective daily huddles.
SESSION #2: 9AM-12PM, 12-1PM: LUNCH
THE TEAM APPROACH TO RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
with Angela Guanzini
Maximize production while enhancing the patient experience with chairside CAD/CAM Dentistry.
Ms. Guanzini will highlight, through lecture and demonstration, effective methods of scanning,
designing and milling restorations for optimal function and esthetics. Patient communication and
scheduling effectively will also be introduced as well as an overview of the integration of this
technology with 2D and 3D imaging. This is an ideal program to excite and encourage the entire
team to offer digital restorative care proftably, effciently and successfully.
