3. HAZARD IDENTIFICAT ION
Main Hazards:
Teratogenic Product. The product may also cause fetal abnormalities when had
chronic exhibition. Pregnant that are on show with a tolerat e concentration
above to the limit could present threat of miscarriage.

Health Effects:
Ingestion:
Ingestion of this product may cause mouth and throat irritation, gastrointestinal
discomfort, headache, weakness and nausea.

Eyes:
Direct contact of the liquid with the eyes, can cause burn or irritation and
chemical conjunctivitis

Inhalation:
It can cause irritation in the throat and nose, breathing ways, nauseas,
headaches, lung hemorrhage, lose of unconsciousness.

Contact with S kin: Contact with the product can cause dry skin, irritation and contact dermatitis.

Specific Risks:
Inflammable liquid: when it was warm abo ve your point of loom, this mate rial wi ll
release toxic vapor and flame, and could be burn in the open area if on show in
one source of ignition.

Inhalation:
If vapors, mists or sprays of the product are inhaled, remove victim to fresh air.
Keep person warm and quiet. If t he breathing is irregular or has stopped, give
artificial respiration. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Rescuers should be taken for medical attention. Take copy of label and MSDS to
health professional with victim.

Skin Exposure :
Remove exposed or contaminated material. Remove product with vegetal oil
(coking oil). Wash contaminated skin with plenty water. Do not wash
contaminated skin with thinner or solvent. Seek medical attention if any skin
irritation or adverse reaction or oth er symptoms occurs.

Eye Exposure:
Immediately flush thoroughly with running water for at least 15 minutes. Open
victims eyelids while under gentle running water. Remove contact lens, if any.
Victim must seek immediate medical attention. Take copy of l abel and MSDS to
health professional with victim, if possible. Call physician.

Ingestion:
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call physician and take copy of label and
MSDS with victim if possible.


Measures to be avoided :
Induce vomiting.
Brief description of the main symptoms and effects :
Headaches, dizziness, fatigue, muscle weakness, somnolence, and in extreme cases, unconsciousness.
Special notes to Physician:
Do a symptomatic treatment. No induce vomit due to risk of aspiration of the gastric content to the lung. The
gastric-cleaning is indicate when the pacient intromit a big quantity, more t han 5 ml of the substance in the pu re
form. The toxic potential of quantity intromited must be valued according to the risk of aspiration of the gastric-
cleaning. The activated coal in solution m ust be useful. However, in same cases the coal induce vomiting.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Fire extinguishing material:
Foam, dry chemical, CO 2, water spray.
Not recommended fire extinguishing mat erial:
Water jet.
Specific Risks:
The fine particles dispense will take form to the explosive mixtures in the air . In case of fire or dense black
fumes, the harmful decomposition products inhalation can provoke health problems.
Especial Methods:
Refresh closed receptacles aro und the fire. Evacuate immediate area and fight the fire from safe distance.
Retain the water used in firefighting in dikes and dispose it in accordance with local hazardous waste disposal
regulation. Use water spray or fog to catc h cold containers exposed to fire. Large fires in the storage area should
be fought from a safe distance with an unmanned hose holder or monitor nozzle.
Firefighter protection:
Firefighters must wear self -contained breathing apparatus and full protect ive equipment .

6. SPILL / LEAK CONTROL PROCEDURES
Personal protective equipment :
Proper personal protective equipment should be used. Evacuate immediate area. Avoid inhalation of fogs/vapor
and direct contact with product. Do not smoke.

Eliminate all sources of ignition :
Eliminate and/or isolate all sources of ignition. Signal and ventilate area of
spill. Use non-sparking tools.

Dust control : Not applicable, since it is a liquid product.

Environment protection :
Prevent material or firefighting waste water from entering into se wer and river beds. In case of significant spill,
retain spilled liquid with inert material, such as sand or e arth. If suitable, absorb spilled liquid with absorbent
materials, such as sawdust, cotton waste or other suitable materials.

Cleaning Procedures:

Recovery:
Remove contaminated diking mater ial with a vacuum-truck and transfer it to an
emergency tank. Earth all used equipment. Maintain product in closed emergency
containers proper ly labeled for later recovery or di sposal.

Elimination:
Incinerate all contaminated material in authorized plant. Do not pour the product into
sewers. The final disposal of this material should be followed -up by disposal experts
and made in accordance with the environmental regulations.

7. HANDLING AND STORAG E

Technical Measures:


Exposure Control
Personal Protection:
The use of face mask with OV filter (Org anic Vapors) is recommended. Use
appropriate eye protection in case of eventual chemical splash eye contact exists.
Wear rubber glov es to avoid direct contact of the product with the skin.

Fire and Exp losion
Prevention:
Adequate local exhausting ventilation should be provided to keep vapor
concentration below explosive limits. All conductive parts of the system in contact
with the product shall be grounded electrically. Do not smoke in the working area.

Safe Handling
Precaution:
Handle product in accordance with safety regulations and industrial hygiene.
Emergency showers and eye wash basin shall be provided in the working and
storage areas.

Avoid skin, eye and mucous membrane exposure and vapor inhalation.
Do not reuse empty containers.
Do not smoke, consume or store food or drinks in areas where the product is handled or stored.
Wash hands after handling.
Handle the material in cool and well -ventilated areas, far away from flames, sparks or heat sources

STORAGE


Technical Recommendations :
The electrical installation must meet the requirements of the standards NEC (National Electrical Code) or IEC
(International Electrical Commission) and/or ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards). The floor of
the storage area must be waterproof, not combustible and shall be provided with outfall ditches for draining the
product to damming tanks. Storage tanks m ust be surrounded by damming tanks and fitted with draining devices
to enable fast drainage in case of leakage

Storage Conditions:

Suitable:

Store the product in a dry, well -ventilated covered area with good marking. Keep
this product away from heat and sparking sources, away from foods and strong
oxidizer. Keep containers always closed and well identified.

Avoid:
Avoid to exposing the product to high temperatures, rain or direct sunlight
exposure.

Recommended monitoring
procedures
In areas where chemical products are handled, you must monitor the people
exposure according to (PPRA), (Environmental Risk Prevention Program) from
NR-9.

Suitable individual personal protection equip ment:
Respiratory E quipment:
Use respiratory equipment with VO -filter, when concentrat ion level is lower than
the tolerance limit and there is no oxygen deficiency. Otherwise, when
concentration level is higher than the tolerance limit and there is oxygen
deficiency, use respiratory equipment with VO filter and air s upply

Hand Protection:
When exposure is prolonged and repeated, wear nitrile rubber gloves. Protection
creams may be used for protecting exposed skin areas (never use these creams
after exposure).

Eye Protection: Use hermetic goggles for protecti ng eyes against splashes.

Skin and Body Protection:
Wear antistatic clothes made of natural fibers and/or made of synthetic fibers
resistant to high temperatures. If the product contacts the skin, begin
immediately decontamination area with running wa ter.

Special precautions :
Only well trained people should handle chemical products. The EPIs should be Approval Certified. When
chemical product is handled, follow strictly all recommended operational and safety instructions inform ed by the
manufact urer of the chemical product. Never r euse empty containers of chem ical products for storing foods.
Monitor the people exposure in area where chemical products are handled. Adopted monitoring procedure shall
be in accordance with PPRA (Environmental Risk P revention Program) from NR -9.

Hygiene Measures:
Clean clothes and shoes thoroughly after use. General control methods applie d in Industrial Hygiene should
minimize product exposure. Do not smoke, consume food or drinks when che mical products are handled.

Acute Toxicity
The Xylene is very soluble i n the blood and in the tissue, especially in the greasy tissue.
Is absorbed too through the skin in the liquid form and in the vapor form. Exposure to
component solvent vapors in concentration levels above occupation exposure limits my
have adverse effect on the health, such as irritation of the mucous membrane and
respiratory system, harmful effect t o kidney, liver and central nervous system The
symptoms include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, muscle weakness, somnolence, and
in extreme cases, unconsciousne ss. Repeated or prolonged contact with the skin can
cause the loss of the natural skin oil, resulting in non -allergic contact dermatitis and dry
skin due to absorption. Can cause skin sensibility and, sometimes the risk are
irreversible. Direct contact wit h the eyes, can cause irritation.

Chronic Toxicity :
Prolonged contact of the product with the skin removes the oil from the skin and may
cause skin fissures, dryness, dermatitis and eczema. The mo st common disturbs
relating t o the formulation components are fatigue, headaches, irr itability, dizziness,
fatigue, weakness, unconsciousness, somnolence, humming, humor and equilibrium
disturbs, nauseas and appetite loss. Also the respiratory system may be affected by
chronic bronchi tis and reduction of the breat hing volume. The product may al so cause
infertility, fetal abnormalities, and renal pathologies in kids whose mothers have been
exposed to the product. Exposure of pregnant women to concentrations above the
tolerance limits ma y cause miscarriage. The product may also cause anemia and affect
the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, causing vascular and
nervous injuries, headaches, irritability, visual disturbs, unconsciousness, wild,
convulsion, lost the mot ors and sensorial functions. Toxic to kidney and digestive
disturbs.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

As the product is not totally biodegradable, do not contaminate sewer and river beds, soils and waterc ourses.
