The nanoBTS R14 picocells help meet cellular coverage obligations to remote locations where ARPU is low. The R14 is a complete low power GSM base station which supports all GSM and 3G handsets, with flexible backhaul for satellite or alternative low cost routes in remote deployments. Optimum Performance The R14 is available for all GSM bands with an EIRP output of up to 36dBm which typically gives a range of up to 1km. All R14 picocells offer EDGE and GPRS data to provide mobile internet access to users. The R14 comes with a range of directly coupled high gain antennas to optimize the coverage of this compact and low power unit. Omni Antennas are ideal for providing coverage to a remote community and can provide a cell diameter of up to 2km. Directional Antennas with built in solar shield are ideal for applications such as roads or denser communities. Low power In remote locations providing power can be a significant part of the deployment cost. The R14 does not use boosters, simplifying the design and keeping power to a minimum. It only needs 13W and so is ideal for use with solar powered systems. Satellite Backhaul The R14 can be deployed with a range of different backhaul options including satellite, WiMAX, point to point microwave or DSL. It builds on the existing nanoBTS which has already been deployed over satellite in many different places including remote rural locations, ships and aircraft.
Supports multiple users With up to 14 simultaneous calls each R14 can provide up to 7.3 Erlangs - enough to support over 300 users with a 20 mErlang traffic profile. Proven Solution The R14 connects to the nanoGSM BSC which is live in over 60 networks and has been integrated with all leading MSC and SGSNs nanoGSM is the fastest, most cost-effective way to add capacity and coverage to the hardest-to-reach parts of your GSM network. nanoBTS R14 The nanoGSM system is a proven, end-to-end solution carrying billions of minutes of traffic every year, all over the world. www.ipaccess.com 2012 ip.access ltd. ip.access, Oyster3G and nano3G are trademarks of ip.access ltd.
