The Nationals have won a season-high 10 straight games to match the Royals (June
7-18) for the longest winning streak in MLB this season...the current 10-game bout
with perfection has also matched the Nationals longest winning streak since MLB
returned to the Nations Capital in 2005...the inaugural-season 2005 Nationals captured The Districts attention with 10 consecutive victories from June 2-12.
THE SERIES
June 9-11, Washington posted wins on 3 straight days at AT&T Park for
the first time in franchise annals since the Expos turned the trick from
May 12-14, 2003...the Nationals are 2-0-1 in season series play against
SFG since 2011...the 2 clubs split 6 games last year, with both clubs
winning 2 of 3 in its home ballpark...the Nationals have won 4 series
at AT&T Park (2005, 06, 12, 14)...the AL Nationals and the New York
Giants met twice in the World Series (1924, 33)...Washington won its
only World Championship in 24 via a 12-inning 4-3 win in Game 7...with
4.0 scoreless innings of relief, Hall-of-Famer Walter Johnson earned

AUGUST 23
Nationals/MedStar Health Youth Baseball Clinic - In conjunction with
MedStar Health, the Nationals will host a series of youth clinics as part
of the teams efforts to increase participation and interest in baseball
and softball programs around the D.C. region. Children ages 8 to 14 will
participate in the free clinics which include on-field instruction, a meet
& greet with a player and 4 tickets to a Nationals home game.
