Board Room
10:00 AM

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake,
Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Sock and seconded by Hecht to amend the agenda to consider a petition for cleanout
on a drainage ditch. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion
carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve an application for renewal of a wine permit
submitted by Midnight Sun. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to appoint Meghan King as rural representative to the
Wall Lake Public Library. Ayes all, motion carried.

Cloe Wallace, Executive Director of the SETD, was present to discuss a program called Home Town Pride
through the Keep Iowa Beautiful Program. The Keep Iowa Beautiful Program will contribute $60,000 to
the project and the County, the communities in the County and private contributions will need to
contribute another $20,000. The Board of Supervisors indicated support for the program but took no
action until after they hear response from the cities in Sac County. A meeting is scheduled for
September 30, 2014, at the Wall Lake Community Center to answer any questions and to promote the
project.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to acknowledge receipt of a petition for cleanout on
portions of open ditch in drainage districts 18 and 71 located in Section 20, Jackson Township and direct
the drainage engineer from the I&S Group to investigate the situation and file a report with the Board of
Supervisors. Ayes all, motion carried. The petition was filed by William Fulcher for Fulcher Farms, Inc.

Eric Yunginger and Greg Villegas with the I&S Group discussed the transition of drainage watchman
duties as Mr. Villegas will no longer be a full-time employee after August 18, 2014. Eric Yunginger will
assume the duties of drainage watchman.

Greg Villages informed the Board that some work had been done on the ditch identified in the petition
for cleanout on DDs 18 & 71. There had been a couple of slides on the bank in the area of concern and
Wirtjers Construction had started the process of removing the slides.

There was no report from the County Engineer.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
