Introduction of Evil Eye

The evil eye is the name for a sickness or misfortune transmitted, usually with or without intention, by someone who is envious, jealous, and covetous
or even a pious person from among man or jinn. MashAllah, it could affect children, adults, livestock, and any kind of materialistic items, and the most
vulnerable are the very young, the wealthy and the beautiful. To cast out an evil eye its not necessary to see the victim, the evil-eye can be
transmitted even just by visualizing or imagining or even with a very limited description of the target person for example a person can cast-out an evil
eye even on himself just by imagining or while look at himself in the mirror or even a blind person can cast out an evil eye just by visualizing the target
person or a mother could herself un- intentionally cast out a evil eye on her child..etc.
Our Prophet[SAW] has therefore advised us to recite MashaAllah, to prevent the casting-out an evil eye, therefore one should say MashaAllah when
praising or looking at anyone or any thing with excitement, in-order to avoid casting an evil eye to them.

Treatment of Evil eye with Zikr and Dua
In the previous article we learned the how to cure a person with the method of washing. However, If the person who has put the evil eye is not
known, then one can ask Allah to cure him by reciting some verses of the Quran and do as prescribed in the Sharyah. It will by Allahs leave cure the
affected person, as always have been.
The affected person should hold his hands up together and recite into them Al-Faatihah (1st Surah of Quran), Ayat-ul-Kursi (verse 255 of Surah
Baqara 2nd Surah) and Al-Mu-awizaat (Last two Surahs of Quran), then blow into his hands and wipe them all over his body.
The sick person may also recite the Verses over Olive oil and smear it on the site affected with evil eye; he may also recite the above verses over
water and wash himself with it; he may even drink from that water.
If the sick person is able to recite prayers for refuge, he may recite the prayers bellow. All narrated from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
* Aoodhu bi kalimaat-illaah il-taammati min sharri ma khalaq
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created.
* Aoodhu bi kalimaat Allaah Al-taammah min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah wa min kulli aynin laammah
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye.
* Allahumma rabba annasi, azhibi ai-basa washfi anta shaff, ia shifaa iiia shifauka, shifaan ia yughadiru saqaman.
O Allah, the Lord of people, drive away the pain, and heal me, for You are the Healer, there is no cure except Your Cure; a cure that does not leave
any illness, but that it cures it.
If the sick person cannot move and is unable to recite the above prayers, then a 3rd person can help him through the following:
* Put your hand on the patients forehead and recite the chapters:
Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas (Last three Surahs of Quran)
* Put your hand on the patients forehead and say:
Bismiiiahi yubrika min kulli daain yushfika wa min sharre haasidin iza hasada wa min shrri kull zee an
In the name of Allah, He will heal you, from any illness He will cure you, from the evil of the jealous when he gets jealous, and from the evil of a
person with an evil eye.

Evil eye treatment
In the pre-Islamic days of ignorance, when the pagans amongst the Arabs feared the effects of an evil-eye, in their ignorance, they would perform
many a rite and ritual to ward off its evil.like wear amulets, tie their beards, or wear a string around their neck, or cleanse themselves with animal
dung or bones, etc. The Messenger of Allah (saws) absolutely and totally forbade the believers to perform such useless and unlawful acts to ward of
the evil.and commanded the believers to simply recite the Muawwidaat (113
th
Surah Al-Falaq and the 114
th
Surah An-Naas), for that would more
than suffice the believers.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1019 Narrated by AbuSaid al-Khudri
The Prophet (saws) used to seek protection against the J inn and the evil eye till Surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas (113
th
and 114
th
Surahs of the Quran)
were revealed. After they were revealed he (saws) stuck to them and discarded everything beside them.
Thus all one needs to do when one fears the influence of the evil eye is seek the protection and refuge in Allah Subhanah Alone by being constant in
ones recitation of the 113
th
and the 114
th
Surahs of the Holy Quran. I t is expected that the Merciful Lord would protect him from all evil.
If one does any of the self-invented and useless rituals like revolving money around ones head seven times, or burn something, or revolve something,
or burn chilies, or perform any other rite or ritual in their effort to ward off the effects of the evil-eye, then they would be held guilty in the Court of
Allah Subhanah for following an innovation (bida) in the least, or following a rite of the pagans and committing an act of shirk at it worst!
If one fears the evil effects of the evil-eyes, all of is guided to do is recite the Muawidaat (113
th
Surah Al-Falaq and the 114
th
Surah An-Naas), for the
seeking of protection in Allah Subhanah is more than sufficient to ward off any and all evil.
As beneficial and as meritorious as the recitation of any of the Surahs of the Glorious Quran may be, there is absolutely nothing in the authentic and
established Sunnah whereby the Messenger of Allah (saws) prescribed the recitation of the Surah Al-Burooj to ward off the evil eye. To recite the
Surah Burooj (or any other Surahs except Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Naas) with the intention to ward of the evil-eye would be against the Sunnah and
Guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws).
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled;
but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.
