connections made at the front entry corridor.

Candalaria Elementary School Added plywood shear panels at exterior walls and
added concrete shear walls below the Multi-Purpose
Room.

Chapman Hill Elementary School The perimeter of the gym received plywood sheathing
at the roof only.

Cummings Elementary School Remove existing adhesive applied ceiling tiles and
replace with new seismic braced suspended T-Bar grid
and acoustical tiles on the N-S and E-W ceilings of the
classroom wings, south of the main entrance.

At the gym, plywood sheathing on the roof and tension
ties on the sides with added plywood sheathing
installed with roofing project.

Englewood Elementary School New suspended acoustical tile ceiling installed
throughout the 2nd and 3rd story corridors with
current seismic bracing standards.

standards.

Added interior skeletal structure to support existing
floor and roof, corridor shear walls, strengthen exit

withstand lateral movement.

standards.

and gym entry.

Hayesville Elementary School Two covered play areas, multipurpose room and
walkways received plywood sheathing and tension ties.
Perimeter of building received straps.

Highland Elementary School Added interior skeletal structure to support existing
floor and roof, corridor shear walls, strengthen exit
canopies, strengthen exterior fire staircase, demolished
chimney.

Hoover Elementary School Added plywood shear panels at exterior walls. 2010
Plywood sheathing over the most of building, did not
add over media center wing.

Liberty Elementary School Added plywood sheathing to the building except for
media center and 1964 addition. Added straps at the
perimeter of the building, tension ties at the media
center.

Morningside Elementary School At the south side of classroom wing, both upper and
lower floor levels, existing windows were removed and
replaced with wood framed shear wall panels.

Myers Elementary School Roof straps were added at each of the two covered

windows were removed and replaced with wood
framed shear wall panels.

bracing standards.

seismic bracing standards.

New mechanical unit anchored to new concrete pad
with current seismic bracing standards. 4. Existing
suspended light fixture bracing was updated to current
bracing standards.
