Safety Procedures












Allpersonnelperforminginstallation,operationsandmaintenanceproceduresonthisequipmentshouldbetrained
onrigsafety,operationsandmaintenanceofthisequipment.

DoNOTperformmaintenanceorrepairstoequipmentwhileunitisinoperation.Haveacertifiedelectrician
ensurepowersuppliesareisolatedBEFOREperforminganymaintenanceonunit.
WearPersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE).
Cleanallpartsandworkarea.
BlockupandsecureheavypartsBEFOREworkingbeneathunitorparts.
Whenheavyliftingisinvolved,alwaysseekassistance.
Ensurealltools,oldparts,nuts,boltswashers,etc.areremovedBEFORErestartingunitaftermaintenance.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

AllpersonnelworkingonoraroundMISWACOequipmentMUSTwearPersonalProtectiveEquipment(PPE),
whichincludesanapprovedhardhat,safetyglasses/shield;glovesandoutergarments.LocalorNationalcodes
requiredifferentand/oradditionalPPEapparel.Complyaccordingly.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Theshakersbasicfunctionistoprovideprimarysolidsremovalfrombothoilbasedmud(OBM)andwaterbased
mud(WBM)duringdrillingoperations.

TheMongoosePro*enablesoperatorstomeetawidevarietyofdrillingconditionswithfourscreensperbasket,along
withanadjustabledeckanglethatallowsflexiblecontroloffluidpooldepthandbeachlength.

Theuniquemotormountingofthetwomotorshakervibratorsproducesatruelinearmotionadjustabledualmotion
driveallowingtheusertoswitchbetweenlinearandbalancedellipticalmotionwhileunitisinoperation.

Eachunithasafluiddistributionbox.Optionsinclude:

UNPACKING

InspectallgoodsasreceivedfromshippingcompanyBEFOREsettingupandoperatingtheshaleshaker.Reporta
claimfordamageorlossimmediatelytoboththecarrierandMISWACO.Alsocheckbillofladingforanyseparately
shippeditems,includingmanualsandCDs.Onceanorderisconfirmedasreceivedcompletedinanundamaged
condition,installationcanbegin.



TheMongoosePro*isequippedwithspecialshippingbrackets
forthefrontandrearoftheshakerbasketassembly.Toremove
theshippingbrackets,usea30mmsocketwrenchtoloosenthebolts
oneachbracket.Storethebracketsontheunit,usingthe
integratedboltholesontheskidtoholdthebracketsinplace
(RefertoFigures7&8).

LIFTING & HANDLING

Alwaysusetrainedpersonnelforliftingandloadingoperations.
Ensureliftingequipmentissuitableforpurposeandiscertified
wherenecessary.

Usethefourliftinglugslocatedateachofthefourcornersofthe
unit.AlabelshowninFigure9indicateslocationofeachlifting
lugontheunit.

PRESERVATION & STORAGE



Storage of Non-Commissioned Equipment

Equipmentcanbestored(uponarrival)intheshippingcratefora12to24monthpreservationperiod.DoNOT
exposeequipmenttodust,vibrationorextremeweatherconditions(suchasheavyrain).Ifunithasbeenremoved
fromoriginalcrate,coverwithatarpaulinduringanypreservationperiod.

Every13months,examinethemotors.Removetheirweightcoversandrotatethecounterweighttopreservethe
bearings.

Storage of Commissioned Equipment

Reinstalloriginalshippingbracketstoprotectequipment.
Whendisconnectingpowerconnectionstocontrolstationandmotors,plugallinletswithanappropriatefitting
tokeepwater/moisturefromentering.DoNOTleaveanyelectricalconnectionsopenandexposed.
AddanticondensationpackstomotorJBoxesandcontrolstation.
InstallandsealallcontrolstationdoorsandJBoxCovers.


DECOMMISSIONING PROCEDURES

Washunitandremovescreensfromshaker.
Disconnectflowlinefromfeederandmainpowerlinesfromcontrolpanel.
Attachshippingbracketstobasketsandskid.
Moveortransportshakervialiftingpointsindicatedonskid.
WARNING
When initiating the
decommissioning
procedures on the
Mongoose Pro, shut off and
lock out power before
removing guards (brackets,
skirt, etc). Follow all local
and national electrical
codes. Failure to comply
could result in severe
personal injury or property
damage. Lockout of power
MUST be completed by a
certifiedelectrician.

ADJUSTABLE PARAMETERS DURING NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS

Screen Selection

Selectionofscreenmeshdependsonanumberoffactors:
flowrate,fluidcondition,formation,rateof
penetration(ROP),fluidtypeandnumberofshakers.
Usethefinestscreenpossibletoensureoptimum
performancetotherelativescreenlife.

Flow Rate

Adjustflowratetomaintainaconstantpoollevelonall
shakersused.Theoptimalfluidendpointis75%ofthe
screensurface.

Basket (Deck) Angle



Thebasketdeckangleismanuallyadjustablebetween3degrees
and+3degrees(RefertoFigure16).

NOTE:Shutdownofshakerbeforechangingdeckangleis
NOTnecessary.

CHANGING BASKET (DECK) ANGLE

IMPORTANT:DoNOTadjustmorethan2degreespersidewhenchangingdeckangle.

Useamanualratchet,wrenchorscreenclampingwedgetoadjustthe11/4nutlocatedontopofjack.Adjust
eachsidetodesiredposition.AlwaysseteachsidetotheSAMEangle.
Locatemanualjacksondischargeendofshakerandsetbasketatanyanglebetweenthehighestandlowestangle.
Resetfluidendpointbyadjustingbasketangleorbycarefulselectionofmeshsize.

NOTE:Alwaysoperateshakerwithlowestpossiblebasketangletomeetcapacityrequirements.Asteepincline
resultsinscreenoverloadanddecreasedscreenlife.
Do NOT use air/pneumatic
ratchet or wrench to adjust

Ensureagateisplacedatanyunusedeffluentstreamoutlet
(oftheskid),anddesiredoutletisunobstructed.
Checkallelectricalconnections.
TurntheselectorswitchonthecontrolpaneltoNormalorCapacity
mode,dependingonthedrillingparameters.TheCapacity,or
balancedellipticalmodeeffectivelyprocesseshighvolumesolids.
TheNormal,orprogressiveellipticalmodeproducesdriercuttings
andmaximizesdrillingfluidrecovery.
PushSTARTbuttononcontrolpaneltostartshaker.
Allowfluidtoflowovershakerscreens.

NOTE:Applyflowoffluidslowlyatfirsttoavoidfloodingscreens.

Keepfluidendpointat75%coverageofthescreeningsurface
foroptimalperformance.

ATTENTION
Unit shutdown is NOT
necessary when switching
