GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE MAJOR GAMES

1. The games would follow a one round knock-out system. One win would assure your spot
in the second game which is the battle for 2
nd
place and 1
st
place, this is a win-win
bracket. One lose would assure your spot in second game which is the battle for the 3
rd

place and 4
th
place, this is a lose-lose bracket. The winning team for the second game
in the win-win bracket will be hailed as the 1
st
place, while the losing team will win the 2
nd

place. The winning team for the second game in the lose-lose bracket will be hailed as
the 3
rd
place, while the losing team will win the 4
th
place.
2. For the basketball game, it would have 10 minutes of running time for each quarter. In
case of having a tie for the last quarter of the game we would proceed to overtime that
would have 3 minutes of game time.
3. For the Volleyball event it would be best of 3 sets. Win 2 sets and youll advance to the
Championship round. Every set would be played for 25 points. In case of a tie we would
proceed to playing deuce.
4. For the Badminton event it would be best of 3 sets. Win 2 sets and youll advance to the
Championship round. Every set would be played for 11 points. In case of a tie we would
proceed to playing deuce.
5. For the Table Tennis event it would be best of 3 sets. Win 2 sets and youll advance to
the Championship round. Every set would be played for 11 points. In case of a tie we
would proceed to playing deuce.
6. For the Football event it would consist of 2 quarters with 20 minutes of game time for
each quarter. In case of a tie, penalty shoot outs would be given to determine the
winner.
7. In case that no representative would arrive at the time each game is scheduled the
referee or the facilitator would disqualify the respective house representative/s for that
game after 10 minutes of waiting period.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR MINOR GAMES

2. For agawan ng panyo, each team would be composed of 9 players. Each team member
would have a corresponding number. Interchanging of numbers with the team members
would mean disqualification of the entire team for that specific game. Each round will
have a 10-minute playing time.
3. For touching ball, each team would be composed of 6 players. The main goal of the
game is for the team outside the base (hitters) to eliminate the team inside the base
(catchers) by throwing the ball and hitting them. A team member can catch the ball
thrown by the opponent and would mean an addition of 1 life. A team member who goes
beyond the line would mean taking away 1 life.
4. A team member who got hit by the ball will be eliminated, however, he or she can come
back if there is an extra life. If all the members of the catchers are eliminated, then the
team of the hitters wins. The number of lives would depend on the times that the team
member catches the ball, there would initially be 0 life.
5. The hitters are given 10 minutes to eliminate all the members of their opponents group
and vice versa. If no group was able to wipe out their opponent, the point for the round
will be determine by the group who got less number of eliminated members.
6. For amazing race, each team would be composed of 6 players. The team for day 1
should be the team for day 2. Changing of members would mean disqualification. Each
station would correspond to different points and different time frames. It would depend
on the teams how they strategize to complete the stations in the fastest time.
7. For the biggest loser, the male and female participant would battle against the
participants of the other houses in 3 rounds. The winners will be based on the fastest
time acquired in each round.
8. For chess, each player has 16 pieces: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights,
and 8 pawns. The goal of the game is to checkmate the other king. The rules for chess
including the respective moves and time frames should be followed.
9. Each team will be represented by 6 players: 3 men and 3 women. They shall compete
against another opposing team with their corresponding genders in a 3 v 3 match. The
team who gets at least two (2) wins (2-1) proceeds to the winners bracket and shall
challenge another team who also succeeded. Losing teams then battle for 3rd and 4th
place.
10. Each player is given 20 minutes turn time during a match. The player who uses up
his/her time first loses the match.
11. In case that no representative would arrive at the time each game is scheduled the
referee or the facilitator would disqualify the respective house representative/s for that
game after 10 minutes of waiting period.
