FUZZY FILTER



The Fuzzy Filter is an innovative and cost effective filter, suitable for removing suspended solids
from wastewater.
Because the Fuzzy Filter has a modular construction and contains a compressible, porous filter
medium, it is a highly versatile, compact system that can be operated at extremely high filtration
rates. These unique characteristics allow the filter to be employed for many diverse applications.


The filter medium:
The Fuzzy Filter ball is compressible and is therefore a unique filter medium.
The low density and high porosity of the medium results in a large particle
containment capacity per unit volume of filter medium. The result is a low
pressure drop across the filter. These innovative characteristics make it possible
to achieve a hydraulic load of 100 m
3
/m
2
h!




Applications:
The Fuzzy Filter can be used in a large number of
situations, such as:
post-filtration of effluent from waste water
purification
filtration of presettled waste water
pre-filtration for other systems including membrane
filtration
industrial water treatment
cooling water treatment
filtration for disinfection
water recycling systems
pulp and paper process water treatment






Construction:
The Fuzzy Filter is an upflow filter. By changing the position of the perforated top plate, the porosity of
the filter bed can be varied. The filter can therefore be adjusted to an optimal configuration and can be
adapted to changing conditions!

Standard versions:
The Fuzzy Filter is available in various standard sizes, as shown in the table below.
Thanks to the modular design, it is possible to connect multiple Fuzzy Filter units together.





































Mobile test trailer:
The mobile Fuzzy Filter test system provides a simple means to test the suitability of the Fuzzy Filter on
site.
The mobile test system is capable of handling a capacity of approx. 15 to 20 m
3
/h.


The mobile test system has the following dimensions:
approx. 5300 x 2300 x 3000 mm (L x W x H)).

A 5-pole wall socket is required for the electrical connection
(380V, 3~ + N + Earth, 32 A).
