GLOBAL NEWS NETWORK (GNN) is a dedicated news and current affairs channel of FIRST UNITED BROADCASTING CORPORATION. GNN is carried in Metro Manila by SKY CABLE, DESTINY CABLE and CABLELINK, and by about 300 local cable operators in the provinces thru its linkages with the Philippine Cable TV Association (PCTA). GNN is also shown over Global Satellite TV (GSAT) for remote areas in the country that goes beyond the reach of cable TV providers.

The Professor
Melissa Grace Mel Dizon-Dulalia, MBA is an experiential-based Tourism Educator and Green Advocate handling tourism professional core subjects since 2006. Her love and passion is geared towards the introduction of innovative, hands-on, outcome-based and beyond-the-classroom programs that aims to enhance students' learning capabilities, skill and interests by implementing a multi-disciplinary approach in strategic teaching. As to her educational background, she is presently a Candidate for the degree of Doctor of Business Administration from the San Beda College, Graduate School of Business, where she also graduated with academic distinction/silver medal in 2004 as one of the pioneer batch of MBA graduates of San Beda College Graduate School of Business with a GPA of 3.80 (from a scale of 1.0-4.0, 4.0 being the highest) within only a short span of two (2) years. She finished her Bachelor of Arts in major in Interdisciplinary Studies from the De La Salle University- College of Saint Benilde, where was sent to Feng Chia University in Taichung, Taiwan as an exchange student, and delegate for the ASEAN-Korea Youth Exchange Program held in Seoul and Ko-Sung Province in South Korea, prior to her being the Commencement Speaker for graduating with Latin Honors (Cum Laude) in 1998. She also took up some law subjects under scholarship in San Beda College of Law in Manila for about a year as a preparation for entering the Graduate School level.
She is the daughter of the late Elpidio T. Dizon (also known as "E.T. DIZON", the Father of Visa Assistance in the Philippines) and Victoria C. Dizon, the founders of the E.T. DIZON Travel Corporation, a multi-awarded travel agency specializing in visa assistance since 1965. Melissa Grace grew up in this industry having been molded and developed in their family business where she rose from the ranks to become its dynamic Senior Vice President. She is also a Trustee and Project Director of socio-civic organizations such as the Pargangal ng Bayan Foundation, Inc. and the Golden Mother and Father Foundation, Inc. since 2001 and also a Consumer Advocate for the Consumers Union of the Philippines (CUP), the organization behind the Annual National Consumers Awards (ANCA).
In 2010, Mel also served as the Executive Director of the North Philippines Visitors Bureau (NPVB), a non-stock, non-profit, voluntary, membership-based tourism marketing organization dedicated to promote tourism in North Philippines.

She has been continuously invited by schools, colleges and universities to conduct talks and seminars/conventions on tourism and hospitality as well as personality development nationwide. Mels personal advocacy is to reach out to the academic community by sharing her travel experiences to the academic community. She strongly believes in the capacity and potential of both private and public stakeholders to strongly contribute to the academic sector and make tourism-related activities a significant part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) with high hopes of making significant economic contribution to nation-building. She is privileged to have represented the Philippines as an international delegate and scholar in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Israel, India, and Austria.
Aside from her voluminous work and various interests, she also served as Unilevers Sunsilk Shampoo and Etihad Airways Brand Ambassador/Endorser being chosen as the grand prize winner for Sunsilk's Hair Expert Makeover: BEST EVER GIRL with a TV commercial aired early 2012 on the Entertainment Channel (ETC) and was sent to Paris, France for an all-expenses paid trip as her reward in 2011. In 2013, she was granted an international tourism scholarship at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) as endorsed by the Department of Tourism (DOT) Philippines and sponsored by the Honorary Consulate of the Philippines in Tirol, Austria. In recognition of her efforts and various contributions on different events, she also serves as the Tourism and Public Relations Director of the Honorary Consulate of Georgia to the Philippines as appointed by Hon. Consul Thelmo Luis Buddy Cunanan. Mel is recipient of a Bronze Lion statue as an Outstanding Alumna for Tourism Professional Services in 2013. In early 2014, she co-organized the First Filipino Robben Island Swim under the said consulate to showcase Filipino achievement worldwide.
Mel is a Full-time Professor handling tourism professional core subjects at Far Eastern University and a Senior Lecturer of Miriam College, while serving as Communication Specialist reporting directly to former Senator, Heherson Alvarez, the Champion of the Environment and Commissioner for Climate Change of the Philippines.
Mel is also the Public Relations and Media Director of Paris Glamour, a French-Filipino Fashion Show based in Paris, France, she handles their outreach programs in the Philippines for the benefit of Filipino youth under their Handog sa Kabataang Pilipino Program. This year, she was appointed Media Correspondent for Philippines Uncut, a Global News Network Primetime TV show.
