Install Uberoid HoneyComb Rom On Chinese
Android Tablet
Android t ablet s come pre-inst alled wit h unneeded sof t ware t hat hogs resources. Inst alling a
cust om rom can really boost perf ormance while improving t ouchscreen response,
wif i connect ivit y, and removing bloat ware as well. There are several excellent Android mods
available, but we will be inst alling t he Universal Uberoid HoneyComb v. 10.1 by HCH.
How dif f icult is inst alling a cust om OS on a t ablet ? It s not dif f icult but you must f irst be aware
of t he possibilit y of making your t ablet complet ely inoperable. If you have a Chinese t ablet t hen
t he most import ant part of t he process is correct ly ident if ying your t ablet since several of t hem
use t he same model numbers but use dif f erent hardware. HCH has f orums wit h a wealt h of
inf ormat ion about ident if ying your t ablet s and select ing t he right rom. Be sure t o back up your
original f irmware bef ore inst alling a rom!
In t his t ut orial Ive inst alled Uberoid on my MID Via 8560, and it perf orms bet t er t han ever.
Heres a st ep by st ep t ut orial of how it s done.
1. Download Universal Uberoid WM8650 by HCH t o your pc.
2. Ext ract t he zip f ile t o a direct ory on your pc using winrar or ot her archive sof t ware.
3. Connect your sd card/reader t o your pc.
4. Navigat e t o t he direct ory where you ext ract ed t he f iles, and click on t he changer.bat f ile.
The Uberoid SDf ormat and Copy t ool will open.

5. Type SDFORMAT at t he prompt . Press Ent er.
6. You will be asked t o ent er t he drive let t er f or you SD card. Type t he let t er t hat
corresponds t o your SD card and press Ent er.

7. The program will f ormat your SD card, and when it s done press any key t o ret urn t o t he
main screen. Do not remove your SD card yet !
8. At t he main menu you will see opt ions f or inst alling Uberoid on many dif f erent t ablet s. Press
Ent er t o go t o t he next page of opt ions. For t his t ablet opt ion 26 works. Type 26 and press
Ent er.

9. You will be asked if you want t o copy Uberoid t o an SD drive. Type Y and press Ent er. At
t he prompt t ype t he drive let t er f or your SD card and press Ent er.
10. Press any key t o inst all t he f irmware t hat corresponds t o your t ablet , t he old f irmware
direct ory will be aut omat ically delet ed.
11. Remove your SD card f rom your pc and insert it int o your t ablet .
12. Turn on your t ablet . The device will boot f rom t he SD card and begin t o inst all Uberoid.

13. Once t he inst allat ion reaches 100% complet e, remove your SD card. The t ablet will reboot
aut omat ically.
14. Allow a f ew minut es f or t he OS t o boot up t he f irst t ime.
15. Enjoy using Uberoid!
