Students (except for those who need to attend the Academy Intensive English course) who are unable to
register on the scheduled dates are required to apply for deferred registration to the Academic Services
Office (ASO) by email to aso@hkapa.edu by Monday 4 August 2014. If students fail to register on the
scheduled dates without prior written application to the ASO, a late registration fee of HK$20 per day
(maximum HK$200) will be levied.

* For Master of Music students, please complete programme registration before reporting to the
Programme Coordinator/School of Music for course advising.



2. Items to bring along for registration

Original and photocopy of Hong Kong Identity Card and/or travel document with valid student
visa.
Originals of academic results/qualifications for verification (e.g. university degree certificate,
academic transcripts, etc.).
Two passport-size photos (with name, student number, school, and programme written on the
back of the photos).
Receipt issued by the Academy of tuition fee paid.
The completed Medical Examination Form or medical examination payment receipt.
Octopus card in case photocopying of certificate is needed.

3. Course Advising

Students are required to attend the scheduled Course Advising session and complete the Course
Selection Form for Postgraduate Studies. Students will then register the courses through a web-based
self-service system provided at the Graduate Education Centre (GEC) located on 3/F, Theatre Block.


4. Orientation Day

To provide new students a valuable chance to meet with buddies and the Academy staff at the start of
the academic year, the Academy will hold an Orientation Day at 9:30am on Friday 29 August 2014 at
the Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre. All new students are required to join this event.


5. First Day of Class

Monday 1 September 2014


6. Student Identity Card (Student Card)

You should go to the Estate Office for photo-taking and collection of your Student Card as soon as you
have completed registration at the ASO. Students who register at the ASO as scheduled will have their
Student Cards activated on the first day of class. Students who register late may have their Student
Cards activated at a later date.
