Open Time:
Open time is the period when the
mortars adhesive strength is
most effective. Adjust and align
accordingly within the specified
open time only (picture 1).
Lapsed open time may result to
bonding failure. It is recommended
to carry out random checks every
5 m
2

to determine whether the
back of the tiles are fully covered
with adhesive.
Finger Check:
To ensure that open time has
not lapsed, check if the tile
adhesive mortar still adheres to
your fingers to avoid bonding
failure (picture 2). If open time
has l apsed, r emove t he
adhesive layer and throw away.
CAUTION: DO NOT add a
newly prepared batch of TILE
ADHESIVE to a previously mixed batch. HEAVY-DUTY
NOTE: For special applications, such as glass mosaic tile
installations, the addition of Redifix is recommended.
Cleaning:
If excess mortar adheres on the tile face, remove with clean water.
COVERAGE
Dependent on substrate condition, size of tiles and application
thickness, 25 kg of ABC TILE ADHESIVE will HEAVY-DUTY
cover approx. 5 m
2 ( usi ng 30 cm x 30 cm t i l es) .
COLOR & PACKAGING
Available in 5kg and 25kg. Colors available in white and gray.
CLEANING & SAFETY
Remove excess mortar on tools using clean water. Non-toxic.
However, as with any cementitious material, avoid prolonged
skin contact.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
When stored in a cool, dry place and in its original packaging,
it will remain usable for a period of one year from date of
manufacture.

Due to the variety of applications, the differing methods of working, the various
properties of bases, etc., we cannot assume responsibility or liability with regard
to the application of our products. Our guarantee and liability are restricted to the
quality of our products at the time of acceptance of the customer of such products.
In no case shall our liability extend beyond replacement of defective products, if
any, found at the time of acceptance. For all deliveries and services, our General
Sales Condition, including warranties stipulated for each case are valid.
ABC TILE ADHESIVE has the addition of HEAVY-DUTY
advanced acrylic polymer modifiers for heavy-duty bonding
strength. It ensures a flexible adhesive bed in order to resist
thermal movements. ABC TILE ADHESIVE is HEAVY-DUTY
primarily designed for large format tile installations (e.g., building
facade), tiling on non-concrete substrates (e.g., gypsum & fiber
cement boards, plywood, metal) and for areas exposed to direct
sunlight (e.g., lanai, terrace, pool area).
USES:
- for installation on plywood, gypsum board and other non-
concrete materials and substrates
- for vertical or overhead tile installations such as building
facades and other outdoor areas
- for dense tiles (e.g., vitrified, homogenous & granite tiles)
- for commercial tile installations and industrial sites where
pedestrian traffic is heavy (e.g., warehouse, parking area,
garage or factory floor area).
SURFACE PREPARATION
The substrate must be fully cured, structurally stable and level,
smooth, clean and free from dirt, dust, loose material, oils,
chemicals and other contaminants. Acid, etch or abrade (roughen
the bondi ng surfaces) to ensure proper bondi ng.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Mixing: Into a plastic or metal pail containing clean water,
pour a sufficient quantity of ABC TILE ADHESIVE HEAVY-
DUTY that may be used within the POT LIFE of 4 hours.
Pot life is the time during which the mixed tile adhesive can
be applied while sitting in a non-absorptive container.
CAUTION: Use only a plastic pail or a galvanized iron
sheet as a mixing base. Never use any absorbent material
such as plywood, wooden box, gypsum board or card
board as it will change the consistency of the mix. 25 kg
of ABC TILE ADHESIVE needs approximately HEAVY-DUTY
8 liters of water. Stir with a mixing device or by hand. Wait
15 minutes, then mix again briefly before use. NOTE: During
hot and windy conditions, wet the substrate lightly before
applying TILE ADHESIVE . HEAVY-DUTY
Application: Spread ABC TILE ADHESIVE HEAVY-DUTY
mortar evenly over 1 m
2 area at a time using a notched
trowel.
Installation: Fix the tiles immediately within the adhesives
Open Time of 20 minutes .
