Addressed negative national television program questioning the business practices of Small Smiles clinics. Invited
the Mayor of Holyoke and state representatives to tour the facility. Established positive public relations effort by
joining local organizations and activities and actively promoting clinics positive community role. Turned negative
press around earning praise from local authorities and newspapers.
Increased community understanding of good oral hygiene by sending dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants to

Designed and started two Dental Clinics within the main hospital facility for the Stomatology Department. Established a

Achievements:
Provided staff training and arranged for three chief officers to attend Tufts Dental School in the US for three months
instruction on new concepts and techniques, leading to the establishment of the first implant clinic in the department.
Successes of the Stomatology Department led to an affiliation between Tufts Dental School with Hua Shan Hospital
and eventually with Fudan University.
Recognized by Tufts Dental School with visiting professor title awarded for 2006 and 2007.

Increased market share of Quincys 40% Asian population competing with the local Asian community clinic. Joined
Quincy Hospital Asian Task Force and Asian Tobacco Education Collaborative Committees, and volunteered to set
free dental screenings. Assisted Quincy Hospital in organizing an annual Health Fair. Produced and participated
in a TV commercial highlighting the dangers of smoking tobacco, and served as a radio and TV guest for interviews
on dentistry, health, and Asian food.

Clinical Instructor
Served as a part-time clinical instructor in the Oral Diagnosis Department screening all new patients. Provided training to

screening clinic. Provided student meetings before and after the clinic sessions to review questions and issues.
Ensured smooth clinic operations and effective student training.
