|| FAQS ||
Why should I use Stainless Steel SUMOCAN? What shall I gain from it?
Just think about those very regular problems you encounter from milk cans made of conventional materials like Aluminum,
mild steel & plastic. broken handles, broken bottom rings, wobbled lids,, rusted and dented interior surface and not to
forget the amount of expenditure you incur to get them repaired Above these-, they also result in bad (inefficient) cleaning
and thus milk stored in them gets stinking odor and higher microbial load and increases probability of milk sourage.
On the other hand, SUMOCANs are free of all such problems. They keep milk cooler and prevent sourage. They are
designed to give long life services with zero maintenance.
In short, with SUMOCANs you will gain by avoiding loss due to sourage of milk, less maintenance cost, less cost for
cleaning chemicals, less cleaning time, less steam consumption loss, higher inventory of milk can, less replenishing
period, less replenishing cost and most important - you will get clean, good quality milk.
Till date why only Aluminum Alloy cans were available? Why not Stainless Steel?
As material of construction of milk cans Aluminum Alloy was introduced decades ago on account of the following reasons:
Cheap availability of Aluminum at that time. Lack of technical know-how of economizing high quality fabrication of Stainless
Steel. Lack of awareness about Public Health Hazards of Aluminum.
But now, with burgeoning technological knowledge and price parity Stainless Steel has been brought within the purview of
its eager consumers. SUMOCANs are manufactured with the latest technology and with it's quality being constantly
upgraded, they have proved to be the best available milk can in the world.
Is there any need to change any of the present operational parameters of milk can handling to use SUMOCAN in
place of other conventional milk cans?
No. There is no need to change any of the present operational parameters of milk can handling.
SUMOCANs are manufactured in accordance with the dimensional requirements of IS: 1825-1983 of Bureau of Indian
Standards. Washing it can be manual, rotary or straight through using the same detergents used for other can handling. In
fact, SUMOCANs will give better efficiency with your existing system at lower operating cost.
Will the milk kept in SUMOCAN get heated up faster than that kept in Aluminum Alloy can?
No., The tests conduced at Indian institute of Packaging, Mumbai very clearly prove that for an increase of 3 Dec.
centigrade (from 15 to 18 deg.) milk kept in SUMOCAN took 57 minutes. While the same milk in Aluminum Alloy can took
43 minutes. I.e. 14 minutes less. This difference of 14 minutes clearly indicate that milk shall remain cooler in SUMOCAN
than in Aluminum Alloy can.
