Project Context

The implementation of Alfredo E. Maranon Sr. Memorial District Hospital Decision Support System
gave a great help for making decision. The system also provided the management a direct access to
administer, and to interact with its costumer through the system.

Furthermore, the system provides the management a real time records about the business.



Purpose and Description



The proposed DSS simply improves the consistency of the consultation process of the The Alfredo E.
Maranon Sr. Memorial District Hospital. It increased performance of medical personnel through its
system generated consultation. It provided guidance and support decision to prevent errors and in
effectiveness of services to cure and rehabilitate ill people. It monitored the status of every health
programs, mortality, morbidity, maternal, infant and death cases. The DSS also projected the common
occurrence of sickness, the prevention and cure. And finally, it has the ability to provide summary of
reports of all health programs and matters.

Objectives



This study aimed to develop an efficient and useful Decision Support System (DSS) for the Alfredo
E. Maranon Sr. Memorial District Hospital. Specifically it aimed to:

1. Generate accurate reports of health programs implemented that would be a basis for decision-making
in statistical and graphical forms.

2. Monitor out Patient services and Admission Clinical services.

3. Monitor Morbidity and Mortality rate and quickly monitor diseases in the community.

4. Provide the users to easily access locally the patient consultation profile.

5. Provide security and confidentiality of the patient history on diagnosis and treatment.



The following are the expected DSS main features:

1. Data Storage and retrieved system of patients data with a minimal time, efforts and costs through
system generated retrieval.

2. Statistical Report on hospital operations and updates of health services implemented by the hospital
including cases on maternal, mortality, and morbidity.

3. Graphical Reports that are collected and analyzed are then presented in a way that can be easily
interpreted by the administrator that can help him in decision making.
