Safety is rapidly becoming a leading international health and safety qualifcation with people from over 80 countries attending International General Certifcate courses. Following the same format and similar content as the NEBOSH National General Certifcate, this qualifcation has a greater focus on international legislation and standards. On successful completion of the qualifcation, practitioners with fve years experience in a Health and Safety role may apply for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The Certifcate also satisfes the academic requirements for Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management. WHO NEEDS THIS QUALIFICATION This qualifcation has been specifcally developed for people working to international standards. This would apply to individuals operating in work environments outside the UK or in multi-national organisations. LEARNING OUTCOMES On completion of the course candidates should be able to: Identify key requirements for health and safety management systems Identify typical workplace hazards and suitable control measures Prepare management reports on health and safety improvements COURSE CONTENT The NEBOSH International General Certifcate consists of three units, each separately assessed: Unit IGC1: The Management of Health & Safety Unit IGC2: Controlling Workplace Hazards Unit IGC3: Health and Safety Practical Application Please refer to the Syllabus Summary for more details on each unit. DID YOU KNOW: IF YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY EITHER THE NEBOSH FIRE SAFETY CERTIFICATE OR NEBOSH CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE WITHIN 5 YEARS OF COMPLETING THIS QUALIFICATION, YOU ONLY NEED TO TAKE 2 OUT OF THE 3 UNITS OF TRAINING FOR THESE COURSES.
