APPENDIX-1


SCOPE OF WORK

A) To carry men and material between base and offshore installations, as well as
between offshore installations only where such facilities are available.

B) To carry out standby and rescue operations in offshore, if required.

C) To assist in exigencies arising in offshore.

D) To carry out routine surveillance in offshore for safety and security reasons.

E) Standby at SBM tankers in offshore.

F) To carry out any other field work which may be within the natural capabilities
of the vessel, as instructed by base/field in-charge for ONGCs own
operations and that of J V/NELP partners.

G) The Vessel should be available for Off shore work round the clock, 24 hours a
day, during the term of the Charter Party.

H) The above work shall always be performed within the vessel's natural
capabilities and
within safe parameters.

I) To repair, maintain and manage the vessel in efficient operating condition as
per best commercial practice.

APPENDIX-2

DESCRIPTION OF THE VESSEL:
Objectives:
The primary function of the vessel shall be to do standby duty and fire fighting
alongside offshore installations. For standby duty the vessel shall be equipped for
search & rescue operations, survivors' accommodation, treatment area and safety
equipment.
The vessel shall also be capable of supplying cement, casing & drill pipes, potable
water, drill water, provisions, spares etc. to the offshore installations. The vessel
shall be designed and equipped for unrestricted ocean going service.
General Description:
The vessel shall be designed as a typical offshore support vessel with machinery
and accommodation spaces located forward of the mid ship and large open deck
space in the aft.
The vessel shall be equipped with:-
- Dynamic positioning system for station keeping while performing the
intended duties.
- Two bow tunnel thrusters.
- External fire fighting system conforming to IRS notation "Agni 1"
requirements.
- Rescue equipment, survivors accommodation and safety equipment
-Two vessels shall be fitted with R/O type water makers (capacity 150+150m

on each)

All vessels have provision for carrying 6 containers. Six vessels shall each
have provision for carrying 2 reefer containers and the remaining vessels

shall have provision for 1 reefer container each.

Speed and Endurance:
The vessel shall have a cruising speed of 12 knots at 85% MCR at the design
draught. The vessel shall have an endurance of 45 days.

Propulsion System:
The propulsion system shall comprise of two medium speed marine diesel
engines driving two controllable pitch propellers through twin reduction
gearboxes and propeller shafts. In addition, the Vessel shall be provided with
tunnel type electrically driven two bow thrusters and one stern thruster, with
power coming from two diesel generating sets and two shaft generators
connected to the primary PTOs on the reduction gear.

Station Keeping:
The vessel shall be provided with station keeping capability by dynamic
positioning. Station keeping shall be possible up to Sea State 3. The vessel
shall be capable of maintaining relative position at best heading in 20 knot
wind, 1 knot current and Sea 'State 3 within +/- 5 degrees of heading and +/- 5
meters maximum excursion from a point or tract line. Also the vessel shall be
able to hold position at all combinations of capacity and direction of throw of
the water monitors under these conditions.

Subdivision and Damage Stability:
The vessel shall comply with the damage stability requirements of chapter 3
of the IMO resolution A.469 (XII).

Trim and Stabilty:
Intact stability criteria shall be as per IMO Res. A749(18) as amended by
Resolution MSC. 75(69).

coatings (PSPC) for dedicated sea water tanks
(s) Vessel shall comply with UKOOA group C requirements. However following three
exceptions which are based on local condition of sea, environment and distance
from land shall be accepted
(i) Use of passenger cabin for survivor sleeping
(ii)Use of Hypothermia blankets
(iii) Placement of Aero-VHF.
(t) ISPS Compliance
Any other rule/ regulationl resolution applicable to this type of vessel
