Stress is the state of arousal with which the body responds to out of the ordinary
demands or challenges that are imposed upon us.
Corporate stress eats away as much as 45% of profit after tax.
More than 1.2 million people suffer from musculoskeletal disorders caused by
their work.
Employees experiencing stress are more likely to make poor decisions and
casual errors.
The Nature and Causes of Stress.
The two primary responses that we are all born with are the FIGHT or FLIGHT
response.
This was required in Primitive times for survival. However neither response is
appropriate to meet the many new and highly complex demands that civilization
has brought.
Every day we are faced with some sort of challenge OUT OF THE ORDINARY
DEMANDS and our autonomic system prepares to protect by arousing the
Fight/Flight mechanism. However, since we cannot respond in the same way as
primitive man, we tend to internalize the threat and stress develops. We only need
to imagine an out of the ordinary demand to place our system on High alert.
Some inner anger or anxiety is enough to produce the same cahain reaction in
the body.``
STRESS RESPONSE CHOICES.
The whole art of stress management is about learning to control our response to
stress.
This can be done by recognizing the various sources of stress and making
changes at the deeper levels of personality.
Lifestyle management, Self Esteem, Relaxation and exercise are important
components of Stress management.
Recognizing Stress Symptoms (be it physical, psychological or behavioral and
attending to them helps in maintaining good mental and physical health.




THE ROLE OF DIET AND EXERCISE IN STRESS CONTROL
The modern world with touch button facilities and convenience of operation, also
brings with it stress related and psychosomatic health conditions.
The relationship between stress and diet has been affected by our sophisticated
lifestyle.
Junk food has become the order of the day.
Chemicals in vegetables and fruits and air pollution affect health in a big way.
Chemical sources of stress are substances that upon our central nervous
system.
E.g. Caffeine, Sugar, Salt, Nicotine, Alcohol.
On the other side of the equation rich, fattening foods are plentiful.
It is up to us to take the appropriate action.
A good diet plan is important to start with. Make sure to include fresh fruit,
vegetables and fiber. Eat regularly and peacefully. Go Organic. Stay Hydrated and
keep body alkaline.
STRESS AND EXERCISE
Exercise has an immediate effect on anxiety. It is also an ideal outlet for tension,
bottled up aggression or frustration.
Exercise releases brain chemical Endorphins that gives rise to happiness and
euphoria thereby dispelling anxiety and depression.
Other benefits of exercise are ---
Improved sleep, fewer stress related aches and pains, inner calm, improved
mental clarity and better concentration.

OVERCOMING THE SIX DEADLY FEARS
Every person on this earth is afraid of something. Most fears are inherited.
Fears must be mastered before anything worthwhile can be achieved.
The six deadly fears are;-
Fear of poverty,
Fear of Death,
Fear of ill health
Fear of the loss of love
Fear of old age
Fear of Criticism
Modern civilization has specifically contributed two fears, which of course fit into
one of the above, but needs mention.
They are THE FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING and THE FEAR OF FLYING.
The first step in handling and overcoming is to find out how we acquired them,
either through physical heredity or social heredity.
The most effective tool to fight the fears is ORGANIZED KNOWLEDGE.
This will kill Ignorance which is the twin sister of Fear. ````Also with knowledge,
Superstition will vanish.
Determination is the one dominant thought that will help overcome the six deadly
fears that exist nowhere except in the mind.

MUDRAS

'Mudras' are systematic hand gestures.
More deeply, "closed electrical circuits" of the subtle channels in physical and
etheric bodies are also known as 'Mudras'.

Mudra Vigyan is the science of finger postures, based on Yoga of elements that go to
create the human body.
Several ancient health systems are based on the concept of the balance of the five
elements. FIRE, WIND, ETHER, EARTH and WATER. These are the five building blocks
that go into the formation of any living body.

Meridians are energy pathways that connect hundreds of tiny reservoirs of heat,
electromagnetic and more subtle energies along the surface of the skin.
