MACHINERY ENGINEER:
Currently Supervising Machinery maintenance departments of UREA, Nitric Acid and CAN Plants.
Also involve in Installation/Commissioning activities of Nitro-Phosphate (NP) plant.
Main responsibilities include;
Ensuring reliability of all rotating machines with in plant for continuous production.
Develop procedures to reduce downtime of machines and for Machinery maintenance.

Critical review of all data sheets of rotary machinery in compliance with relevant API/ASTM
standards.
Review specifications of Kawasaki Systems J apan, related to piping and maintenance.
Providing recommendations for best system in accordance with latest standards and good
engineering practices.
Analyze integrity of all rotating machinery at Urea plant through consultation with latest
API/ASTM/ASME standards.
Involved in detailed engineering of Urea plant with WEC (Wuhan Engg. Co.) in China for a
month.
Review of OEM equipment drawings and civil foundation drawings made by civil contractor.
Review of piping drawings, plot plan, piping layout plans of Urea plant.
Checking of civil foundation construction at site with strict compliance with available vendor
drawings.
Review of construction plan and schedule provided by Chinese erection contractor (CNCEC).
Review of Construction Methods related to Equipment installations/fabrications, Piping
fabrication/welding and Steel Structure installation, prepared by CNCEC.
Supervision of all Maintenance activities performed by CNCEC with full compliance to
safety.

MACHINERY (ROTARY) ENGINEER:
Upkeep of rotary machines using preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnostics of problematic
machines and their rectification. Responsibilities include;
Condition monitoring of centrifugal and reciprocating compressors / pumps.
Reliability assurance of different types of rotary equipments including pumps, steam turbines,
compressors on the basis of preventive maintenance.
Acquisition of vibration data for critical machines and in-depth analysis for identification of
machine problems.
Applications of knowledge based techniques to machinery fault detection, diagnosis and
prognosis
Root cause failure analysis of machine malfunctions and their report generation.
Spares upkeep for all Rotating equipments for Normal maintenance, Shutdowns and
Turnarounds.

Overhauling of 23MW, 13,000 rpm Synthesis-compressor train including two (02)
compressors major maintenance, rotors replacement with inspection and repair/replacement
of seals, bearings, couplings and alignment of machine.
Major overhauling of 4MW, 13000 rpm LP synthesis turbine including rotor replacement,
inspection of bearings, seals, coupling and alignment.
Inspection of 19MW new steam turbine casing and its spares.
Overhauling of 2.15MW, 6800 rpm steam turbine including bearing inspection and
emergency shutdown system overhauling.
Study on Gear Coupling Failure in Ammonia Train and its report generation.
BENFIELD ABSOSRBERs (50m height) upper half (approx. 17m) replacement using 450
ton crane, its joint preparation, welding and heat treatment.
Study on Secondary reformers refractory problems and its failure analysis.
Adsorber leakage rectification by modification in the sealing elbow design at Hydrogen
recovery unit.
Feasibility study of Acoustic Emission Technique for evaluation and testing of pressure
vessels and tanks for the Fauji Fertilizer plant.
