Local artist, Reverend Sam Timm, doesnt
really know how many original paintings he has
done since he began painting in 1975. Maybe
3,000? Maybe more? After painting for 39
years, its easy to lose track.
Its also easy for Timm to lose track of the
many honors and awards he has won for his
wildlife paintings. The list is long, with awards
beginning in the early 1980s and continuing
throughout his painting career.
Some of the highlights in throughout
Timms career include: being selected in 198586 as Wisconsin Wildlife Artist of the Year
when his painting Old Farm MascotsBlackCapped Chickadees was unanimously selected
from a eld of 89 entries; winning the National
Wildlife Federation Conservation Stamp Print
of the Year in 1990; and Wings Over Wisconsin
Wildlife Print of the Year in 2005, 2002, and
1998.
Timm has minted several plate series for
the Bradford Exchange and has had his works
featured on many national Christmas cards for
organizations like Ducks Unlimited, the National Audubon Society, the U.S. Museum of
Natural History, and many others. In addition,
his original paintings have been juried into the
prestigious Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau and he has had over 200 limited
or open edition prints.
When hunters and shermen get their annual game licenses, the Wisconsin Department
of Natural Resources issues a stamp with the
license. Wisconsin and most other states hold
contests for artists each year for their stamp
designs; Wisconsin holds ve contests and se-

The watercolors of artist Audrey Bunchkowski will be on display at US Bank, Wautoma, during the months of August and
September. This is a themed exhibit of one of her favorite subjects, fish. The display includes both fresh water and ocean fish
as well as domestic goldfish.Bunchkowski works in a variety of media but her passion lies within the fluid and free flowing
watercolor media. She is a member of the Rural Rembrandt Art Club and is their current treasurer. She joined the club shortly
after starting her painting career in 2002.Other works created by Bunchkowski and other club members are on display in the
Wautoma Library meeting room, the McComb Bruchs PAC, and Russells Farm Market, Wild Rose.
