TEST NOTES
1. Started reading the README file – too lengthy for kids to read?
2. Wondering if kids in the age group 3-12 would read the readme file. Wouldn’t a video or a flash
demo suffice? In any case, kids would explore and figure out instead of reading.
3. Further Reading section in ReadMe file is mind boggling. The software is meant for kids, but the
documentation is created as if it is for a mission critical application.

BUGS
#BUG 1
Summary: ReadMe: Reference to ‘OPTIONS’ in ReadMe file claim to be different even though they refer
to the same document.
Repro:
Expected Result: Same notation to be used for referring to any single document in multiple locations
#BUG 2
Summary: ReadMe: Use the Left and Right arrows to cycle through the collections.
Repro:
1. Check if there are enough stamp collections provided by default in Tux Paint
Actual Result: Tux Paint provides 6 stamps Out of the Box (OOTB)
Expected Result: If the default stamps provided is 6, then the Left and Right arrow should not be
enabled by default. This is against the claim made in the ReadMe ‘Use the Left and Right arrows to cycle
through the collections’ misleading the user to think there are many stamps.
Risk & Customer Impact: Medium. Providing Incorrect information to the user is wrong.
#BUG 3
Summary: ReadMe: Some stamps can be colored or tinted. If the color palette below the canvas is
activated, you can click the colors to change the tint or color of the stamp before placing it in the
picture.
Repro:
Expected Result: If none of the OOTB stamps can be colored or tinted, then this should not be specified
in the ReadMe
OR
There should be a way to create newer stamps which can be colored or tinted. Readme
Risk and Customer Impact: High. Misleading the user to believe that a feature is not supported though
the program might have that capability
#BUG 4
Repro:
Actual Result: Further Reading section contains many other documents to be read
Expected Result: Children might be least interested to read heavy documentation while their goal is
having fun.
Risk and Customer Impact: Medium. Too much of documentation is dumped to the customer
#BUG 5
Summary: Readme: Readme says the program is meant for children of ages 3 and up. The website
http://www.tuxpaint.org says for children 3-12
Repro:
Readme says the program is meant for children of ages 3 and up. The website
http://www.tuxpaint.org says for children 3-12
Expected Result: Information provided should be consistent across all the claims made
ISSUES
1. Unable to verify the claim that Tux Paint is portable among various computer platforms:
Macintosh, Linux, etc.
