STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Time and effort if put together, definitely leads to success. I still remember that Friday
night, I was debugging a hospital management project. I didnt realize how the night drifted off so
quickly, but finally I arried at the solution. These comprehensie efforts were aptly rewarded
when my project was implemented for a cardiac clinic. This e!perience in deeloping a client
serer based system infused into my mind the loe for computers oer electronics, and aspired
me to dele into the field of software engineering.

'ngineering at one of the ranked colleges in )), )).'ducation *ociety +olytechnic ,-'*+..
/ere I realised the importance of 0icroprocessors, *atellite 1etworks, and 0obile
2ommunication etc. in todays enironment. The final year project 32ordless F0 transmitter and
4eceier5 was concentrated on wireless communication.
6nowing the importance of computers in todays world, I enrolled into 1IIT, a pioneer in
proiding software education in India. /ere I learned operating systems like 71I8, 9in 1T,
:inu!, +rogramming languages like c, c;;, <aa, deeloper tools like -isual =asic, 0icrosoft
Foundation 2lasses, >=0* like *?: serer, *ybase and @A bit windows architecture. The final
semester project was to deelop ( to simulate day to day operations in a hospital. This project
took me to the top of the class where the project was much appreciated by the centre head and
the dean himself, because it facilitates all the functionalities that can be found in a medium sized
hospital. 0y teachers encouraged me to present this project to the hospital manager of -arun
2ardiac 2linic ,-22.. Finally after A months of interaction with doctors and managers of the
hospital, I deeloped a real life time system by employing @ assistant programmers. I got plenty
of e!perience not only in dealing with clients, but also in work management and time
management, as I was simultaneously studying in the diploma college too.
The natural progression after diploma was pursuing a =achelors of 'ngineering degree
in 'lectronics at ))))))))))))'ngineering 2ollege. 'lectrical 1etworks,
'lectronics, Instrumentation and 2ontrol *ystems, 4obotics, >ata and >igital 2ommunications
all gae me a sound idea of the technological adances in the modern world. 0y final year
project 3Inentory and *tores 2ontrol5, deeloped in a B7I enironment focussed on the
inentory system. 0y joy knew no bounds when I heard that the project was successfully tested
by e!perts and is replacing the older ersion in the college.
I beliee that e!perience plays a key role in ones career. I was lucky enough to meet

opportunity to work on a lie project for >*+ 0eryll :ynch Blobal Integrated *olutions :td as an
offshore deelopment from Feb EE to <ul EE. /ere I learned, how the sub diision system
software of a huge company is integrated under a common head, so that the system works
smoothly and leads to an efficient outcome. 9orking with international members of the team was
simply fantastic. Clthough I programmed on a small part of a huge system, I played an important
part as a team member who was always ready for more work. This has always been my motto

hae also polished my computer knowGhow. I am e!tremely proud to state that I am the only one
from the entire college who has worked on an international leel.
0asters from your 7niersity will not only impart a sound education in latest
technologies, but will also push me ahead in the computing world. 0y intentions, my dreams, my
goals are clear, I look forward to become an '4+ 2onsultant with software giants like Crthur (
Cnderson 2onsulting, Dracle Cpps. etc. and I am sure a good education, infrastructure and
opportunities that come my way, will help me in achieing my goals. I hae always tried my best
