This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 72.
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschu Feuerwehrwesen (Fire
Fighting Standards Committee), Technical Committee Brandmelde- und Feueralarmanlagen und elektrische
Betriebsmittel.
It should be noted that DIN 14675 and a further German standard relevant to fire detection and alarm
systems, DIN VDE 0833-2, will continue to be valid until April 2002.
