To Whom It May Concern;

I am applying for the position of an English educator at Boston Latin School. I was born
and raised in Massachusetts, close to Boston Latin School. I remember wanting to be a
student there. Since then, I have graduated with a degree in English with fluency in
Spanish and Italian and proficiency in French. While, I didnt graduate with a minor, I
took several opportunities to dabble in Communications, Business and Global Relations
classes. The coursework has prepared me to be the best possible educator. More
importantly, it has inspired me to return home and help kids in the urban areas of
Boston to have a greater education, and a more positive future. My background as a
Dominican adds and assists in connecting with students.

I feel highly qualified for this position and believe to be a great asset to the school, but
also, to the students. I have learned to research, analyze, and write. I have had several
opportunities as a Teachers Assistant at Brigham Young University-Idaho to develop
lesson plans and teach composition. In fact, although I graduated with an English
degree, with an emphasis in creative writing, I stayed on post-baccalaureate to attain my
teaching endorsement. The material remains important to me, as I have come to the
realization that teaching is far more than a job, but the difference. The abilities I have
attained are facilitated with passion, not simply for the subjects at hand, but for the
minds of the developing students who will undoubtedly play their part in our society.

These skills not only qualify me as an educator, but they ensure the students growth as
assets to the society, as better writers, thinkers and contributors.
