Pushpa Basnet is a social worker and founder of two non-profit organizations in Kathmandu, Nepal that work to strengthen the rights of children living behind bars with incarcerated parents. She started her first organization, the Early Childhood Development Center, in 1999 after a college visit to a women's prison where she saw children living with their imprisoned mothers. Pushpa Basnet has "een awarded with 2NN ero 'ward #*$#, which was held at the %hrine 'uditorium in ?os 'ngeles, 2alifornia, on %unda(, # 3ecem"er.
