Who are UYWAFC?
The University of York Womens Football Club currently compete in
the Britsh University and Colleges Sport Leagues (BUCS).
We are a rapidly expanding club: this year we will be entering a second team into
BUCS, such is the current demand for opportunites for women to play at our
university. We perform well in BUCS: two seasons ago our frst team managed to
win their league with an unbeaten record, as well as reaching the fnal of the
North of England Cup. This season, we managed to fnish 3rd in the league, and
narrowly missed out on back to back promotons. Many of our players also play
futsal for the University, and in their inaugural season reached the BUCS Champi-
onships, for the best 16 teams in the UK.
We also compete in Roses, the biggest inter-university varsity in Europe, against
Lancaster University. In 2013, UYWAFC was voted as Yorks Roses Team of the
Year: we completed a whitewash over our Lancastrian opponents who were
champions of the division above us!

Why is UYWAFC special?
We pride ourselves on our inclusive and welcoming environment: despite being a
sports club, who ultmately is judged by results, we allow and encourage every-
one to join us, regardless of ability. We believe that this has facilitated our expan-
sion and enabled us to form our second team for the forthcoming year.
As well as competng in BUCS, we are proud to support charitable causes. In May
2014, we ran a womens 5-a-side tournament in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Many of our players also ran Yorks 10km Race for Life. These two events collec-
tvely raised over 1600 for Cancer Research UK, and we plan to build more char-
ity links this year, hopefully with even more success!
With your support, we will be able to contnue to thrive and expand. This would
allow us to keep providing female students at the University of York with an op-
portunity to learn and play the most popular female team sport on the planet, in
a welcoming and inclusive environment. Without the support of sponsors, we
would struggle to run, and would certainly not be able to provide opportunites
such as two teams to our members.
Club Sponsor (Minimum 500)
As a club sponsor, your investment will
be used for general club running costs,
such as training facility hire, coaching
costs, transport to away matches,
equipment , kit, league fees.
Coach Sponsor (Minimum 250)
As a coach sponsor, your investment
will pay for coaches kit. In return, your
companys logo will appear on all the
coaches clothing, which will be worn
during all training sessions and on
match days. This will give your brand
exposure across the north of England.
Match day Sponsor (Minimum 100)
As a match day sponsor, you will spon-
sor the man of the match award
throughout the season. For 200, you
can sponsor the frst and second team,
or for 100, you can sponsor either the
frst or second team. In return, your
companys logo will appear on our
Twiter and Facebook pages, alongside
a picture of that weeks player of the
match, who will be holding your com-
panys logo. At the end of the season,
we will compile all of these images and
send them to you for your own publici-
ty.

Sponsorship Opportunites:
We ofer a number of sponsorship optons, for a variety of budgets. We are very
fexible and will endeavor to tailor packages to suit your companys needs. We un-
derstand that it is an economically challenging tme, so you want to make an invest-
ment that will be benefcial to yourselves too. At UYWAFC, we can ofer our spon-
sors some fantastc benefts!

We will feature your company prominently during our promoton for Freshers week
and throughout the year. This will give you University-wide exposure at what is our
main sign-up tme.
Your company logo will feature on our branding at Roses, which is the largest inter-
university varsity in Europe. With over 3000 partcipants, this will provide you with
an extremely high level of exposure. You will also be invited to atend this weekend.
Your logo will appear on the sponsors page of our club website, along with a descrip-
ton of your company.
Your company will be advertsed as an endorser of any charitable events we hold.
You will also be invited to atend and partcipate in such events.
We will include you on our Facebook and Twiter, pages which currently have over
500 followers. If you are a match day sponsor, your company will appear on these
websites once weekly in the publicity of the player of the match awards. This will
provide you with exposure across the University and further afeld.
Your company logo will feature on the footer of our emails. Our mailing list has over
100 people on it, and will give you natonwide exposure through our dealings with
diferent insttutons across the UK.
If you are a bar or nightclub, we will visit you during our weekly socials, providing
you with a considerable revenue throughout the year.
Likewise, we will visit any partcipatng restaurants once per term, with a minimum
group size of 20.
