Description:

A quad sided multifolding brochure.

Date:

Course/Instructor:

Cory Kerr

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe Indesign
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:

Set up and align a multifolding brochure.

Learn how to text wrap around an image.
Use paragraph styles.

Process:

I first started, with the logo. I use the illustrator program to

create the logo. To create the curved prongs on the Trident
I created a bar then and oval and used the pathfinder tool.
The triangles are just squares shape into a triangle. Then I just
reflected it and set the other parallel to it. Then I just used a
block to combined them all. After that I copied it then flipped it
and placed it on top.
Then I picked out the pictures. I chose the blue because it gave
good contrast with the trident and the sound waves because of
the music aspect of the brochure. I took two picture blended
them together and placed them on the measured pages I then
did the same with another two. after those were in place I
printed a few just to get the proportions right. then I placed
the text. I had to get the proportions right with the text so this
took some time. I had to purchase some tools to assist me in the
building process but it made building things a lot more effective.
after that came the trimming phase.

Take a high quality image, and edit/crop.
Adjust imagae brightness, hue, saturation and contrast.

Process:

This project was difficult for me mainly where to place the bands
of color but after many drafts this is where most preferred. I first
imported this picture I had taken to indesign. Where I also placed
the colored on the right hand side and gave them there names.
Then I added the qoute. I gave it back shadow and a red stroke.
Then I placed the colored band at the corners parallel to the leaf
and text to give repitition.

Objectives:

Create various logos for a company.

Use illustrator

Process:

For the first logo I took a black box and a white text. And fit
the black box behind the white letters to give a white space
effect. Then I placed the logo text above and below the box. The
second logo was a bit more difficult but I started off with a black
box and then created two ovals to make the handles. After I had
the handles where I liked them, I took two circle for the buttons.
Then I created the D-pad with two rectangles and the buttons
were made with just two smaller circles. the start buttons were
just two rectangles I then placed the company title in the middle
so it would give contrast. The third was simple. Three black
boxes and the grid pattern is actually made by placing multiple
boxes on top of another box then using the pathfinder tool I cut
and separated them making the grid format. I then placed it over
the black boxes and placed text underneath.

Design consistant styles for letterhead and buisness cards.
Use Indesign and Illustrator.

Process:

When I created a new document I first started with the the

logo of SM. I created a large SM and turned it white then placed
a black background behind it. Then I used the pathfinder tool to
separate the layers. I proceeded to un-group everything and clear
out the letters so now they are see through. I also edited the S
to give it an angle. After I did that I placed the S on the full page
and give about a 9% transparency. I placed two black rectangles
to give contrast then I put my information in the corner.

Objectives:

Convert logo design into .png.

Design web page using HTML and CSS.
Create the content to explain the web page.

Process:

I used the program TextWrangler to create and organize the

webpage. I first started with the HTML coding giving it words
and adding the pictures in. Then I created a separate style-sheet
for my CSS coding. I centered the logo then gave it padding at
the top and bottom to give it white space. Then I gave padding
below the text to create the paragraph look and the list look.
