Basic Operator Panel 2 (BOP-2)
The basic input and display device is used to operate and set parameters for the converter after being
connectedtotheControlUnit.Itisoperatedbypressingthebuttonsandfeaturesasimplecommission-
ingthankstothemenupromptingandthe2-linedisplay.
Intelligent Operator Panel
The Intelligent Operator Panel manages the same functions as the BOP-2 but adds several more options.
Theintegratedapplicationwizard,fullgraphicaldiagnosticoverviewsandplaintextincreaseusability
substantially.Itisavailableinvariousversionsandcanbeuseddrive-externallyforseriescommissioning
and on-site diagnosis.

initial start-up of the converter.

The Operator Panel is the input and display instrument for controlling the converter. It is used in stand-
aloneoperation,i.e.,locally,onthedevice,integratedinthecabinetdoororashandheldversionfor
seriessetup(IOP).
The BOP-2 display
TheBOP-2isusedtocommission,diagnose(troubleshoot)anddisplaythestatusoftheconverter.Upto
2 status values can be simultaneously and continuously monitored. It features a simple navigation using
atransparentandwell-structuredmenuandclearlyassignedoperatorkeys.

Setting the control mode (P1300)
Inourexampleitisassumedthatyourconverterandthemotorarenew.Asaresult,aseriesof
preparatorystepsarerequired,e.g.selectingthecontrolmode.Thisisindicatedbytheparameter
number1300. V/fcontrolwithlinearcharacteristiccurveisdefinedbythefactorysetting.
