Photodesign
Description: This is a full bleed, color nature picture of
some spring flowers. There is a bee collecting pollen on the
main flower.
Date: May 24th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Objectives: To create a full bleed photo with an inspirational
quote.
Process: I used photoshop for this project. This project was
particularly hard because halfway through making my draft
into a final, i decided to start over. I decided to go a com-
pletely different direction, and Im way more happy with
how this final design turned out. This picture had originally
only one flower, and it was placed more to the middle. I used
the Stamp tool to duplicate most of the petals on that yellow
flower. I used the wrap tool for the text. At first i wasnt able
to get the text to bend the way i wanted it to, so i had to use
the ellipse tool and wrap some text around a circle. For the
small flowers (tulips) at the left hand bottom corner, i used
the lasso tool, copied it and duplicated them. I changed the
color of the top of the flower to match my color scheme,
and to make the words bend that way i also used the wrap
tool.
Montage
Description: A inspirational flier with a plane and an
open sky. Full of clouds and a sun
Date: May 31st, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Objectives: To make a full bleed design, with texture.
Complete a montage of several pictures, and make it
look as natural as possible.
Process: I started with a complete different project. I
had to completely change my design because what i
had in the beginning wasnt working. I used Photoshop
all though out this project. I merged about 3 different
pictures. I had to get a clouds texture picture to help
with the texture of the clouds. I used the masking tool
to help me merge all of the images. I also used the
Stamp tool to help me flu in some empty sky spaces.
I was able to add more clouds and make the sky ap-
pear even more full.
Flier
Description: This is greyscale (black and white) flier
to promote a graduate leadership conference at the
Lincoln convention center.
Date: May 10th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Adobe InDesign
Objectives: Promoting a leadership convention
Process: I used the InDesign program to execute this
flier. I had to use both a desktop mac computer and
my own Macbook though out the time i was working
on the project. There were program that werent in-
stalled in the desktop Mac that i needed to complete
the assignment and vise versa. I also used iLearn to go
to the assignment and grab the pictures and text that i
needed. I had to print off my flier several times before
i was content with my work. I had to pay very close at-
tention to detail and be very careful will my alignment
throughout this whole project. As i came to the what
i thought was the end of my project I spoke to one of
the lab assistants that was in the lab and she said that
Logos
Description: A public Relations firm, 3 different
variations for the same company
Date: June 7th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Adobe Illustrator
Objectives: Complete 3 different logos for a public
relations company.
Process: I used illustrator thorough this project. For
the first logo I made each letter it own layer, I put
them together in a different uniformed pattern. I
used the rectangle tool to make the lines both across
and diagonally. For the second one I got an
arrangement of shapes (round rectangles, circles).
The third one was also an arrangement of shapes and
letters.
Stationary
Description: stationary personally fabricated for a
Public relations firm.
Date: June 14th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Adobe Illustrator / InDesign
Objectives: To make a stationary for a public rela-
tions specialist
Process: Making this logo and stationary was not as
easy as i had hope. I started with illustrator but quickly
moved to InDesign because i couldnt get the shapes
that i wanted. I started with getting the 2 Letters, and
making them a certain size.
After that i put them together in order for them to
come together as one. Then i had to come up with a
font that fit the big logo lettering. Later i had to group
all of the little parts of the logo so that they would
stay together. I added a black oversized rectangle for
the lines that go across the page.

Webpage
Description: A very simple and professional public relations
company website.
Date: June 28th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: InDesign / Photoshop / Textwrangler / Tex-
validator
Objectives: Show companies that this publc relations firm
can represent their company better than anyone else, with
this professional website.
Process: For this project I had to challenge myself and de-
velop skills that I did not have. I had to learn how code and
tweak things that I had not idea how to do. I had to put my
InDesign, Photoshop skills and my lack of coding skills to
put this website
together. I had to Google things that I didnt know what to
do. I didnt know to center images without also centering
the text. Google became my best friend throughout this
project. I didnt know how do code or do anything, but I fig-
ured it out. For the programs i used Texwrangler, Photoshop,
InDesign, http://www.w3schools.com and Texvalidator.
Event Ad
Description: A monochromatic color schemed poster
advertising a bake sale to fund a class trip to Universal
Studios Orlando to visit The Rewarding world on
Hogwarts
Date: May 17th, 2014
Course/Instructor: Comm 130 / Cory Kerr
Programs/Tools: Microsoft Word
Objectives: Try to get people to attend a themed
bake sale
Process: I used Microsoft word to complete this as-
signment, I scanned a picture of Hogwarts from my
mass media book and added it to my flier, I removed
the background and added a triangle that cover the
right hand bottom corner of the flier. I used the
magnifying tool to color match the Hogwarts castle.
I used that same color matching tool to match the
border of the triangle and the transparent bars that
go through the flier. I used a monochromatic color
scheme and used two different fonts for the title and
body copy.
