Re: Weighbridge Upgrade

Dear John,

With reference to my recent visit to your site where we discussed all aspects of the
previous quotations for the software upgrade on the weighbridge.

We are now in a position to forward our revised proposal based on all items discussed
over the past months.

WinWeigh is a Bilanciai group product and is only supplied by Weightron Bilanciai Ltd,
there is a team of 4 software engineers dedicated to the development, Implementation,
and support of the product based at our sister company “Pfister in Holland”

Constant updates of the software is controlled and implemented by these 4 engineers on

a daily basis.

Our UK Service Network (Weightron Bilanciai) will deal with all of the installation and any
issues from then on.

Weightron Bilanciai is the supplier to any UK Customer and therefore responsible for the
upkeep of the system unless Luxus change the specification at any time and the
modification would be carried out by Pfister.

This software will be controlled by Weightron Bilanciai for installation etc. with a network
link back up by the Pfister (Bilanciai Group) if required (see attached “Winweigh Software
Maintenance / Support Contract”)
Warranty on the Self 800 Driver Operated Box is normally 12 months, but offered to
Luxus at 2 years.

Winweigh Software is normally 3 months only, but like the Self 800 Box offered to Luxus
at 12 months.

The warranty covers all parts that malfunction due to either normal wear and tear or any
faulty item with in the equipment and software once the final design specification has
been agreed.

The warranty doe’s not cover any malfunction due to either customer damage or abuse.

Any additional testing and stamping that may occur after the completion will be
chargeable at the standard rate of £550.00

The current data cabling from the Weighbridge to where the Office where PC is currently
located is satisfactory.

The Weighbridge data is transferred directly between the Winweigh Software Package
and the 800 Self Box.

The Winweigh will link directly to your SQL server over the Network.

WinWeigh will run on Access, Oracle or SQL database.

Weightron would provide Luxus access to the Winweigh Data Tables on completion.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY

• Win-weigh software package – (including Booking Reference & Registration No’s.)

• 800 Self Box – Driver Operated Terminal

• Modify & Fit Terminal Stand for D800 & Intercom (help phone)

• Utilise existing Serial Cable

• 6 x Admin Licenses (minimum)

• Installation, recalibration & re-verification

• 8 hour response to any breakdown on the weighbridge

• Remote access to software via “VPN” Virtual Private Network

• Testing & Stamping included.

Weieghtron will arrange a Functional Design Specification visit where we sit down with
the required people and write a step by step specification to suit Luxus requirements,
this will then be typed up as our Functional Design Specification (FDS) that Luxus and
Weightron sign to agree that this is the system that Luxus will accept and Weightron will
deliver. After this point Weightron can setup a full demonstration either at Luxus or

Weightron head office where the system can be evaluated by Luxus to make sure the
system meets all requirements.

As WinWeigh uses an SQL database other systems can also access the same database so
sharing data is not a problem. If changes are required to WinWeigh after the initial setup
this is not covered under the initial install, however as changes are fairly simple to do
within WinWeigh and often is done remotely the setup charges are minimal.

WinWeigh uses a ticket format that is totally configurable so customised formats is

simple to achieve.

Manual weighing is standard on Win Weigh.

The quotation includes ½ day training for operators, would it be possible to gather the 7
people together in stages of the ½ day or would you require another training day to suit,
alternatively we can train a trainer who is capable of training your staff, whatever your
decide is not a major concern and we can work together on this item unless extreme out
of hours is required for extra training.

If manual weighings are performed from a location where the operator cannot see all four
corners of the unloaded weighbridge the operator will need CCTV. So if there are 6
locations where the operators can perform a weighing you will need all of these locations
to have access to CCTV to see the weighbridges.

The Winweigh software package will provide you with all the information, transaction
data and reports that you are collating with the current Infotech System.

The Winweigh Software package is supported by Weightron Bilanciai and can be updated
easily for additional information if you so wish in the future.

The 800 Self Box will operate on the existing Serial Cable that is currently used, this
being either RS422 or RS485.

The 800 Self Box will display the weight and also the software prompts for the drivers.

The 800 Self Box is singularly powered and has no “LINE DRIVERS”

I have quoted for 6 x Administration Licenses in this proposal with additional licenses as
optional extras.

If all the 6 admin licenses are in use a 7th person starts the Winweigh system he or she
will get a list of all users that are connected with their login name, he or she can select a
name and that Winweigh application will end within 1 minute and allows the next user on
the system, however there will be a certain operators who need to have access to the
software at all times, therefore these named people can not be deselected.

The existing Indicator / Intercom stand will be modified by removing the existing stand
and replaced with a Driver Operated Self Box Column that will also accommodate the
telephone intercom with a set of modified access steps that will be bolted to the floor
that will provide you manual access from the side to the self box.

On completion of the above project the weighbridge would have to be recalibrated and
verified fit for trade purpose with new 800 Self Box.

Installation for the above project would take around 4-5 working days.

Price for the above project @ £10,000.00

Price for the modification to the Indicator Stand @ £936.00

TOTAL PROJECT PRICE @ £10,936.00

Lease Rental

Weightron Bilanciai can offer an attractive Lease Rental Agreement which can be spread
over a period of time from 12 – 60 months, details on request.
