Thomasville detectives have charged four people in connection to the murder of Artravis Ned
Little that occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2014, Thomasville detectives received a Crime Stoppers tip that
eventually led to Thursdays arrests.

Once the Crime Stoppers tip came in, we reviewed the information and were able to focus on
potential suspects, said Detective Chet Jarrell.

The following have all been charged and arrested for murder:

Xavius Tyrik Mebane, 20, of Ragan Avenue, High Point
Trellis Mentoria Johnson, 22, of South Benbow Road, Greensboro
Kasey Dashawn Garland, 23 of Ragan Avenue, High Point

Police are actively looking for a fourth suspect, Rashan Anthony Mebane, 30, last known
address of 1006-B Anderson Place, High Point. Rashan Mebane should be considered armed
and dangerous. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Rashan Mebane is encouraged to call
Thomasville Police at 336-475-7755 or Crime Stoppers at 336-476-8477.

Thomasville detectives were able to take Xavius Mebane and Trellis Johnson into custody with
the assistance of the High Point Police Department and their Tactical Unit. Both Xavius
Mebane and Johnson were taken into custody without incident. Kasey Garland was in the
Guilford County Jail on an unrelated charge when served with the murder warrant. Garland is
being held without bond. The initial court date is set for 08/20/2014. Xavius Mebane and
Johnson are currently in the Davidson County Jail with without bond.

Detectives have worked exhaustive hours to bring a resolution to this unfortunate incident. This
case was solved as a result of the cooperative effort between multiple agencies and the
community. The Thomasville Police Department would like to express our appreciation to the

The coordination of efforts and pooling of resources was instrumental in bringing a swift
resolution to this case, said Detective Brad Saintsing.

A possible motive is not being released at this time. The investigation is continuing and anyone
with information is encouraged to contact Thomasville Police.

Original Release

On Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 12:47 p.m., Thomasville officers were dispatched to 511 Smith
Street in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male laying in the front yard of 511 Smith Street,
suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers and emergency personnel performed CPR, however,
the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two black males and one black female were seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting.
One black male is described as being six feet tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds, wearing a white
shirt, dark pants, and a black beanie style cap on his head.

The other black males is described as being 5-foot-2 in height, 130 pounds, wearing a black
shirt, black pants, and a black beanie style cap on his head.

The black female is described as being 5-foot-5 in height, 200 to 250 pounds, wearing a white
shirt, and white pants.

The suspects were seen leaving in an older model, rusty colored Ford Crown Victoria.

The victim has been identified as Artravis Ned Little, 31, of 511 Smith Street, Thomasville,
NC.

Thomasville investigators are being assisted by Davidson County Sheriffs Office and the
Davidson County District Attorneys Office. There is no one in custody at this time.
