1. Search Using a Search Engine (Google): A Search Engine is a Web site that allows you to type in keywords to find
what you are looking for. You can think of it like the yellow pages in a phone book. Click in the search box in the
center of the page, type in a word or words, then hit enter.
2. Type www.google.com in the address box and Press the ENTER key.
3. Type Omaha Zoo in the search box and Press the ENTER key.
4. On the top of the page are different areas to visit, such as calendar, exhibits, kids, education, etc. click on one area
5. Click on the BACK arrow in the top left corner of the screen to return to the HOME page or the HOME Tab
6. What is the URL (address in the white bar at the top) for the Omaha Zoo homepage?

7. On the HOME page, in the upper right is a search site box that will search only the information at the zoo. Type in
an animal and see if they have it.

1. Open your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc)
2. Go to www.google.com
3. In the upper right corner, click on images
4. Type in mouse it will bring up pictures of the mouse as an animal and the computer mouse
5. Type in mouse clip art notice how the pictures are drawings or sketches now.
6. Click on a picture
7. It brings up a larger picture of a mouse and button that says Visit page to view related information.
8. Some images you can right click on to insert into your documents.
9. When using images be careful of copyright laws they may have watermarks or turn blurry when inserting.

1. Set up an Excel worksheet
a. Open Excel
b. In a HEADER put the name of the restaurant & your name
c. In B1 Calories
d. C1 Fat Calories
e. D1 - Non-fat Calories
f. E1 - Percentage of fat
g. In column A list the food items, see example below

2. Decide which fast food restaurant you want to visit

3. Plan a meal with a sandwich, salad, fries, dessert, drink
4. For each item on your menu, record the total calories In B and fat calories in C
5. To figure non-fat calories (column D), write a formula to subtract the fat calories from the total calories
(SUM=B2-C2)
6. To figure out the percentage of calories from fat (column E), divide fat calories by calories. Column E
(SUM=C2/B2) (/ means to divide and * means to multiply)
7. To figure total calories, fat calories, and total non-fat calories, use the AutoSum button or write a
formula
