Professional Goal
To utilize my educational technology and e-learning experience to facilitate change in the
field of technology in K-12 education as a curriculum specialist and course developer,
providing product for both classroom and blended learning teachers in the integration of
technology into the classroom, as well as online learning environments.

Summer 2014 UCF Instructional Design Intern
21st Century Learning Solutions, Winter Springs, FL
Responsibilities included shadowing a course developer
in the production of online courses. Attended summit
meetings, worked on course planners, providing resources
and ideas for the course. Researched professional articles for
adherence to learning objectives. Added resources and activity
ideas to the course planner. Served as a subject matter expert
(SME) and created narrative to an online teacher training course,
adding narrative about current educational issues, learning
strategies, and course content. Researched online resources for
the course that adhere to the learning content objectives.
Created media for the course, in the form of PowerPoint
presentations and screencasts.

Responsibilities have included teaching middle school
English, history, Bible, science and math. Current
responsibilities include Media Center/Library teacher.
Teach computer lab and library skills to K5-5th grade

into the curriculum. The focus of the conference is to provide
strategies for reading, math, science, effective administrative
practices and school operations.

Summer 2014 Comprehension - Going Beyond Fluency
Online Webinar
Presented by Dr. Timothy Rasinski, Ph.D., this webinar
covers some approaches for helping students to take part
in reading text with meaning and purpose. This webinar
will assist me in my role as media specialist and
Accelerated Reader coordinator.

Summer 2014 Blending Traditional and Online Learning 101: Best
Practices to Get Your School Started
Online Webinar
Discussed the role, purpose, and effective strategies for a
blended or hybrid classroom, demonstrating how to
successfully manage online and face-to-face educational
experiences. This webinar was very timely for me as it
has assisted me in creating my own online course.

October 2013 2013 National Christian Educators Conference

The purpose of this conference assembled educators from
around the world who take part in multiple conference
offerings, emphasizing academic integrity and excellence, best
practices strategies, and integration of the Biblical worldview
into the curriculum. The focus of the conference is to provide
strategies for reading, math, science, effective administrative
practices and school operations. Technology implementation
was a spotlight at this conference, as well as emphasizing the
role that internet safety and security plays in the 21st century.

August 2014 Screencasting Tools
Meadowbrook Academy, Ocala, FL
Will conduct professional development training for the staff
and faculty, which will emphasize the use of screencast
apps on tablets and devices. Topics will include utilizing
Educreations, Screenchomp, ShowMe, and Explain
Everything.

April 2013 Using Animoto in the Classroom
University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL
Conducted a professional development for my UCF peers
on the topic of Animoto and how to incorporate this digital
tool in the classroom.

Creative Activities
Hanks, C. (2014). Core Math Concepts for Elementary.
(21st Century Learning Solutions Internship). Served as
subject matter expert and created narrative for a course
module for a course to teach beginning teachers
elementary math teaching strategies, while providing
