On the 3rd of July 1933 a star was born in the village of East Gatia Danga
of Shatkania district of Chittagong.
Right after the independence of Bangladesh, Mr. M. N. Islam felt the need
of rebuilding his motherland. With an excellent Educational Background
he realized that in order to grow a nation, education and information
technology are most essential. With such vision he established Flora
Limited on1

April, 1972. Experience in Financial sector for more than a
decade helped Mr. Islam to take right strategic decisions in his business
life. He was the Pioneer of IT in Bangladesh. Having received numerous
prestigious awards he has revolutionized the IT world of Bangladesh. Mr.
Islam has earned an immense amount of respect in life for his honesty
and credibility.
I want to work till the last day of my life ". The Almighty accepted his
wish. His cardiac arrest occurred mere hours after returning from office
on the night of 30

December, 2012.He passed away at the age of 79, at
11:30am on 1/1/2013.
Not only was he the chairman of Flora Limited, he also played the role of
a father, a teacher, philosopher and a guide to many of us. His dream was
to see his country at par with other developed ones. It is our
responsibility to fulfill his dream.

Mustafa Shamsul Islam is the Managing Director of the leading IT
company of Bangladesh known as FLORA LIMITED. This company was
established in 1971 by his father MD Nurul Islam with a vision of
introducing technology in an agro based country like Bangladesh. After
completing his education from the US, Mustafa joined FLORA LIMITED in
1987 to fulfill his fathers dream. In the process he became an IT wizard
and proved himself in various IT sectors of the country. His vast
knowledge on several world renowned IT hardware and their
application, network solution, doing research and development on
several software application, vast training in communication sector
brought him huge success and made him one of the well reputed It
personality in the country. He created a huge employment opportunity
for the young generation of the country which made him really popular
among the youth.
Mustafa believes in challenges. Like a fathers son, he also envisions
Bangladesh reaching out at the similar level of development like
Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and others through
the blessing of advanced technology.
