This is how I wrote my project acknowledgement:

I am very thankful to everyone who all supported me, for I have completed my
project effectively and moreover, on time.

I am equally grateful to my teacher [name]. She gave me moral support and guided
me in different matters regarding the topic. She has been very kind and patient,
whilst suggesting to me the outlines of this project, and correcting my doubts. I thank
her for her overall support.

Last but not the least, I would like to thank my parents who helped me a lot in
gathering different information, collecting data and guiding me from time to time in
completing this project. Despite their busy schedules, they gave me different ideas to
help make this project unique.

Thanking you

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

This dissertation(book etc) could not have been written without Dr. X who not only served as my
supervisor but also encouraged and challenged me throughout my academic program. He and the
other faculty members, Dr. Y and Dr. Z, guided me through the issertation process, never accepting
less than my best efforts. I thank them all.

Sometimes an acknowledgement for a completed project can be as difficult to word as the
content of the project itself.

Typically an acknowledgement is found at the very beginning or very end of a report. It gives
the writer an opportunity to thank and acknowledge the individuals that have helped them
finish their work, or contributed anything towards the report.

To write an acknowledgement that is suitable for your report, try looking though other
completed projects within your field. Adopt the layout or content and see how you can
interpret the typical format into your own work.

You should look back through all of the reports, data and evidence that you collected for
your project and write a list of all the individuals or companies that have contributed in some
way. From this list you can then determine which of the contributions you actually used in
your final piece.

Ideally, you should only acknowledge anyone who physically added any information to your
project or helped in the preparation. You should always mention your supervisor by name
and other individuals that are mentioned will depend on the type of report you are writing.

If it is a work report you should acknowledge your employer, while if it is an academic report
you should acknowledge your school or professor. It is also a good idea to acknowledge
anyone who might have helped you collect your data, or who participated in surveys or
interviews.

If there was a person who read through your drafts and offered you suggestions, you might
like to acknowledge them as well. Normally other employees or students will not be
acknowledged unless they had a direct and important influence on your work.

The formality of your report will really be determined by the circumstances it is being written
in. In most cases it will need to be reasonably formal and avoid any excessive praise. In
some circumstances you may have the opportunity to be a bit more light-hearted with your
acknowledgement, but don't go overboard and start thanking your cat!
