Two famous disasters that have happened were an
earthquake and a volcanic eruption. The earthquake
happened in 1964 in Alaska and was the strongest
earthquake that was ever recorded. The volcano erupted
about 2,000 years ago. It destroyed a Roman town called
Pompeii. The town was completely destroyed.

the green bike as a birthday present when I was 12. I
bought the grey bike with my own money.
2. I read a newspaper story about a new plane yesterday.
The plane can carry 3,000 people but the story didnt
say when they will finish making it.
3. My father drives an old car. He loves it! It was made
in 1960, and it looks really beautiful. Last week he had
a phone call from a woman in London. My father didnt
know the woman, but she offered him 10,000 for the
car.

Now, read this email from someone who went on this holiday. What was she happy about? What problems
did she have?

Hi John!

Well, Im back! I had a great time in Borneo really fascinating.
Kuching was interesting, but I dont think we spent enough time
there. When we left to go on the river, there were too many
people for the longboat, so we travelled to the village in a bus.
The village was fascinating. I loved the longhouse, but there
werent enough rooms for all of us to sleep there, so we had to
sleep in tents. The first night was great, but I ate too much
delicious Iban food, and so I felt ill the next morning! The
second night wasnt as good because there wasnt enough food
for everyone. After that there was a jungle trek lots of
interesting things there, but not enough time to see everything.

Anyway, Ill see you next weekend and show you all my photos.

Complete the text with too much, too many and (not) enough.
I dont really like my town. Every summer, too many tourists come here, so there
are too many cars in the streets, and that means theres too much noise. There
arent enough places for teenagers to go, either. There are lots of shops but
there are always too many people in them! And most of the clothes shops are
for old people there arent enough shops for young people like me!
