Positioned in front of Bitburg's control tower, an F-15A Eagle air superiority
fighter of the 53rd TFS stands ready. A long-time partidpant at annual Tiger
Meets, the squadron operated the F-105 Thunderchef, F-4D and F-4E Phantom
