Installation Checklist

System Installation
1. Mounting:
Secure the rack to the oor (drawing 0540091-06 for dimensions).
Floor anchors
Anchor washers (Zone 4)
CAUTION!
This procedure must be performed by qualifed personnel. Review the safety instructions provided in
manual 0540091-J0, and the battery manufacturers safety recommendations.

6. Battery Temperature Probes:
Connect battery temperature probes to mid-string negative battery termination
post on the top and mid-height battery shelves in the battery bay.
7. Battery Rack Battery Disconnect Breakers:
Uncoil the black wire, labelled #2, from the battery bay and connect it to D4
terminal #37 on the Distribution and I/O Interface board 707-548-20 in the Vista
power system.
4. AC Input to rectier shelves:
Use 1" conduit retainers to route AC cables. Secure cables to AC input and chassis ground terminals (cus-
tomer connections drawing #0540091-08).
2. Ground Wiring
Ground the rack to Cell Reference Ground Bar (CRGB) with #6
AWG (13mm
2
) insulated cable, thread forming screws and paint
piercing washers.
Connect battery return bus to CRGB with recommended return
bus ground wire size.
5. Battery Terminations (1/4"5/8"C lugs)
Verify polarity and route battery hot cables through top of cabinet and connect to bus bar.
Verify polarity and route battery return cables through top of cabinet and connect to battery return bus.

3. Breaker Installation:
Install AM-type mid-trip plug-in breakers:
Tiers 1 and 2 (lower): 48V load distribution, 20 positions
Tier 3 and 4 (upper): 24V load distribution, 24 positions
Allow 1 space between pairs of 100A breakers.
Two-position and three-position breakersuse multi-pole adapter plates to link together the output connec-
tions of the breaker.
Recommended torque values
1/4" 8.8 ft-lbs
3/8" 32.5 ft-lbs
1/2" 73 ft-lbs

Commissioning
Controller conguration:
CXC controller LCD verify/ set network IP parameters.
IP address: 10.10.10.201 (factory default)
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Logout.
Connect a laptop to the CXC controller with a network crossover cable.
Laptop IP Network settings (Start > Control Panel)
IP address: 10.10.10.202
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Turn off Pop-up Blocker.
10.10.10.201 in the web address bar
Login to the CXC controller:
Username: your company name and your initials
Password: 1234
Language selection: English
Set correct date and time (Controller > Date & Time).
Set Battery AH Capacity (Batteries > Congure Batteries).
Count number of battery strings.
Multiply the number of strings by the rated battery capacity.
Submit changes and Accept.
Logout.
8. Load Terminations
Multi-pole adapter plates in use Two-position and three-position breakers include a plate that links to-
gether the output connections of the breaker
