Are We Too Dependent on Computers?

Would the world survive a day without computers? Since computers were
invented human beings have been using and taking advantage of them in
several ways. Thanks to technology computers are very important devices
which help everybodys life. There are three reasons why human beings are
dependent on computers. Students lives are less complicated, workers do no
need to do a lot and the ways in which people communicate are different.
First, students lives are less complicated because of computers. Nowadays
doing homework is completely different from years ago. Before computers
appeared, students had to go to libraries and make big researches to end up
with their homework, but now they just search for them in internet and finish
quickly. Then, during class the way in which they learn is better. Currently
most of the schools have computers which help classs development. Also,
when students need to perform exposition, computers help too much. In the
past they had to bring card boards, papers and stuff, but not anymore. Today
there are projectors and power point presentations to help with these
expositions.
Also, workers do not need to do a lot, and they are dependent on computers.
For example, in the case of teachers, they do not need to bring too many
papers to school. Nowadays they can have a bunch of files in their computers
and reduce the amount of sheets. In the same way, call center agents are
helped by computers. Because of the technology and the wonderful
computers, they can work from home. In addition, accountants can work
easily because of computers. They do not have to be adding and subtracting as
they used to. Some new softwares are doing what they should do, so their
tasks are not that huge
Besides that, there are different ways in which computers help to
communicate. First, in the past people used to communicate by telegrams and
letters. However, emails and video calls changed that. A webcam, headphones
and a microphone are things that can make simple the way in which people
communicate. Also, meeting people is different. Currently there are famous
social networks which let people meet hundreds of friends. There are
friendships of people who have not seen each other, but they became best
friends. In the same way, some people get married with a person that they met
in internet. So, it means that due to computers several people change their
lives.
In conclusion, society needs computers because students lives are better,
some jobs are less complex, and people communicate easily.
