Remarks to GON-UX
Tips to the unix-software GON-UX and GON-LX
1.) Mode
In GON ist a function implemented called mode. In these mode there are many possibilities
to change a setup for evaluations or the performance of the cmm.
The setting-parameters can be read with the INFO-key. Working with these settings needs
experiences in working with GON ....
1.1) Enclosed you see a list of different helpfull mode-functions:
key word functionality
Filter type For filtering or outlier elimination
Measuring parameters For changing the performance of the machine;
sometimes helpfully, if measurementsdata are lost, because the
cmm was moving in the air ...
Safety distance For defining more distance in intermediate-positions of course of
noses an the workpiece
Output to plotter For getting nice papers with the whole information; after doing an
evaluation and plotting of the measurementresults on screen the
software creates automaticly a second, correct output on printer or
plotter
Operating sequence:
1.) setting the correct parameters in mode
2.) defining the outputdevice in the cnc-programm 99 in the
workpiece-cataloge GO in UMESS
3.) defining the first outputdevice screen in your cnc-programm
with the directinput <1625>
Certificate For transferring GON-data to QSSTAT for statistical-evaluations
Operating sequence:
1.) dont use a UMESS-recordheader or set <1608> before changing
from umess to GON
2.) set the parameter 2 for certificate
3.) select the printer format 77 in defining the documentation of
your GON-workpiece
Probing speed and
probing acceleration
a new function in the next revision, similary to the <1661>
! for defining smooth movements with small tip-diameters
! for defining high-speed without collission-controll on well known
parts

1.2) the mode will be splitted in two pages in the next software-revision. Page 2 includes
programmable functionalities ....
2.) Saving data or transferring data between Linux and HP-UX workstations
In the directory tool are some command-procedures for saving or restoring GON-data.
! You can select them with ll cz_gon* and you will see speaking names like
cz_gon_save or cz_gon_restore.
! All names including asc write the data in ascii-format to a disc and can be restored on
every unix-workstation.
! With the option h yoe get a small description, for example cz_gon_restore h
! Please regard: unix-commands will be used and unix overwrites existing files with the
same name without a comment or a warning ....
