PROFILE
A HIGHLY ADAPTABLE GRADUATE ENGINEER of premier institute of Gulf, The Petroleum Institute - Abu Dhabi, and a
recipient of merit fellowship by ADNOC, I am still striving to find challenges to reach my full potential. My studies helped
me to develop leadership skills by working in many teams and group projects to solve real oil-field problems as a
research assistant. Being a self-motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, I look
forward to join an industry that would boost my present profile.

QUALIFICATION
M.Sc. Petroleum Engineeringfrom The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates,
With 3.3/4.0 CGPA. Aug 2010 to Jan 2012
B.Sc. Mechanical Engineeringfrom University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore Pakistan,

Antonoil International, Iraq. Feb 2012 to Jan 2014
Petroleum Field Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing well completion and work-over proposals: open hole completions
Completion tools testing & evaluation: SSD, HS packer, SCSSV, travel joints etc.
Actively working and monitoring run-in-hole (RIH) and other integrity operations on the rig-floor
After successful RIH operations, monitoring and guiding the safe operations for the flow line and tubing-casing-
annulus testing after the drop-ball and setting the HS packer.
Other technical responsibilities includes:
Monitor production rates, help in planning or rework processes to improve production, and write technical
reports for engineering and management personnel
Installation, integration and commissioning of the wellhead control panels and monitoring of wellhead

for SCSSV, SSV, and SDV valves installed on the wellhead.
Providing technical and operational support for well completion activity to field & rig-floor personnel
Promoting and implementing Company HSE policies and safe working practices
Organizing logistics for completion equipment, tools and personnel
The Petroleum Institute (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) Abu Dhabi, UAE. Aug 2010 to Jan 2012
Assistant Researcher (Oil & Gas)
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching assistance and research & development activities in various projects; flow modelling for underbalanced
drilling (UBD) using WELLFLO, gas lift design, nodal analysis, IPR-TPR sensitivity analysis for production
enhancement using PROSPER, formation damage, flow assurance, and inflow/outflow performance studies for
long horizontal wells using slotted liners/ICDs. Other responsibilities were technical assistance to the supervisor;
paper reviews, collate information, data analysis and writing technical reports, organizing the production
laboratory for undergraduate classes. Additionally, technical assistance and supervision to the undergraduate
students in their practical laboratory work, designing and establishing lab experimental setups, preparing
chemicals and other equipment for multiple laboratory sessions and other on-going research projects in the
production lab.

RECENT PROJECTS

An objective approach to the selection of an optimized medium for single phase gas & multi-phase fluid
for UBD The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi. Mar 2012 May 2012
The efforts herein have been specifically focused on evaluating the technical advantages & economics of
the single phase gas & the two-phase. Volumes required for the alternative methods of fluid to perform the
UBD conditions, their respective limitations, flow performance & cost have been rigorously examined &
interpreted. For single phase, the Nitrogen flow versus Natural gas flow have been compared both
technically & economically to find which one presents a more practical solution to the industry.
Alternatively, for the two-phase, foam-type fluids versus aerated drilling mud have been differentiated.

Homogenizing inflow/outflow profile for long horizontal wells The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi.
June 2011 Aug 2011
In this research project, we (group of three researchers) investigated the suitability of slotted liners over the
ICD, in order to homogenize the inflow profile of long horizontal wells. This project involved different study
areas like formation damage & its evaluation, drilling strategies to counter less formation damage, pressure
losses along length of horizontal well, water & gas coning etc. We studied & designed different slotted
liners scenarios with different set of design parameters like length of liner, number of slots, diameter of the
slots etc. Additionally, we also investigated the use of slotted liners to homogenize the outflow profile of
horizontal injector well. We came up with a MATLAB program which would drive different design
parameters for slotted liner in order to homogenize the water injection profile along the complete length of
horizontal well. Also, in case of producing well, this programmed helped how to stop/slow down water
encroachment or gas coning along the length of horizontal well.
Gas lift design The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi. Jan 2011 April 2011
In this project, we studied and designed a gas lift plan for a dead well based on the data obtained from one
of the Abu Dhabi's oilfield well. Based on the bottom hole pressure, fluid head above the packer, diameter
of the tubing etc., we (group of two) designed placement of the operating valve, number of unloading
valves, spacing between the unloading valves, ESP design, pressure requirement for gas injection etc. This
project was much appreciated by the research committee.
Oil well flow assurance through static electric potential: An experimental investigation The Petroleum
Institute, Abu Dhabi. Jan 2011 Dec 2011
The focus of this research project was to find the possibilities of inhibiting the deposition of asphaltene and
inorganic scales in the production tubing by applying static electrical potential. With this objective, two flow
set ups were made; one for asphaltene and the other for scale deposition studies, attached with precision
pumps, pressure recording system and DC power supply. In each set up there were two flow loops; one was
converted as Anode and the other as Cathode. A series of flow studies were conducted using the flow set
ups, in which oil-dilution ratio, temperature and most importantly DC potential difference was varied and
the deposition behavior of the asphaltene aggregates and calcium carbonate scale to the walls of the test
loops were observed through rise of differential pressure across the loop due to possible deposition and
constriction of the flow path.
