This document describes the features of Aermotor windmills. It lists 10 superior features including an efficient wheel design that starts under a light breeze, automatic regulation to turn the wheel out of strong winds, and heavy galvanization for rust protection. It also details removable bearings for maintenance, double gears and pitman arms for balance and minimal wear, and an adjustable brake that can be tightened with a nut. The document provides specifications for different Aermotor and Fiasa windmill models including the number of sails, stroke lengths, and shipping weights. It notes that all models are delivered with the long stroke set and that parts are interchangeable between Aermotor and Fiasa except for the type of bearings used.

DENVER, CO. 80229-7327 Toll Free : 800 - 621 - 4291 AERMOTORS HAVE TEN SUPERIOR FEATURES EFFICIENT WHEEL DESIGN has been proven under wind-tunnel test to start under full load in a light breeze. Carefully balanced, it runs in perfect alignment.
AUTOMATIC REGULATION design turns the wheel out of a wind that is too strong, insuring safety in storms.
HEAVY GALVANIZING is 50% heavier than normally used on sheet metal. Assemblies are dipped after all cutting and riveting has been completed, elimination exposed edges that can rust.
POSITIVE OILING SYSTEM designed to circulate oil freely to all moving parts. Oil only needs changed once a year.
REMOVABLE BEARINGS are designed so that they can be removed without taking the motor down from the tower. Aermotor uses Garlock synthetic material for their bearings and Fiasa uses Babbitt bearings like Aermotor #702 had.
DOUBLE GEARS AND PITMAN ARMS assure a balanced load and minimum wear.
ADJUSTABLE STROKE is factory set to long stroke, which will give you best performance. Changing to short stroke will allow you to pump deeper and get a little less water per stroke.
ADJUSTABLE BRAKE is designed so wear can be taken up with the turn of a nut.
OUTSIDE FURLING DEVICE mounts on the outside of the tower top below the mill, and does not come in contact with any moving parts.
EASILY PUT TOGETHER ON TOWER with only 6 bolts to assemble the wheel sections to the wheel arms which are screwed into the hub. The wheel arms can never work loose because they are secured to the wheel bands. Page 49

They can also be mounted on other brand towers, or wood towers by purchasing a stub tower to bolt on to the tower top. All Aermotor and Fiasa mills are delivered set on the long stroke. It is preferable to operate on the long stroke, since it gives more water, however changing stroke length is very simple. The longest service life is assured by changing the oil once every year. FIASA and AERMOTOR PARTS ARE INTERCHANGE- ABLE. The only difference is that Aermotor has Garlock bearings and Fiasa has Babbitt bearings.
