Position Summary The Network Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, management and support of all LAN and WAN devices for Fox Group clients with a primary focus on Fox International Channels in Latin America. There will also be some level of Firewall experience needed to assist with troubleshooting and supporting our security and datacenter environments. LAN and WAN are predominately based on Cisco technologies, while Wireless LAN is based on Aruba Networks. WAN Acceleration uses the Riverbed platform which will also be integrated with our Solarwinds monitoring suite.
These systems are used worldwide for multiple Business Units to deliver both television and theatrical content with extremely tight SLAs. This position will work closely with these BUs, both with their technical support teams as well as their managers and executives, to bring great designs and quick resolutions to any network challenges that may arise. The Network Engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects of network implementations with design guidance from the corporate network engineering team in Los Angeles.
Position Responsibilities 1. Network Design Proposes design and change documentation to support new installations and upgrades to existing configuration Documents existing network design for support purposes or in support of an upcoming change Assists clients from various Business Units with project requirements design and projects
2. Network Implementation Responsible for new device deployment o Personally deploy new devices in complex environments o Assist local support personnel for remote deployments of hardware Assist local support with wireless deployments and wireless connectivity Document changes to the network during Implementation Work closely with clients during and after implementation to ensure satisfaction and operation
3. Network Support and Troubleshooting Provide 24x7 on call production support as a tier 4 escalation resource Serve as a resource to identify and diagnose network specific issues Work with our out-sourced NOC engineers with troubleshooting complex issues Act as a consultant to other departments where they may have IT Network needs Monitor the global network using our engineer toolsets to proactively engage problems when they occur
Work Experience Five years of experience designing and managing complex global enterprise networks Five years of hands on experience with Cisco switches and routers Five years of experience with complex routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF and BGP Five years of experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk and Solarwinds Three years of experience designing and implementing wireless networks Three years of experience managing large datacenter networks One to three years of experience with Juniper firewalls One to three years of experience with load balancers, especially F5 One to three years of experience with VOIP and QOS Experience with Cisco a must, as well as one of the following: Aruba, Riverbed, Juniper, F5

Technical Knowledge Must have strong abilities in the following areas: TCP/IP Cisco switches and routers DHCP and IPAM HSRP and VRRP WAN Acceleration QOS Wireless design and implementation (Aruba preferred) Enterprise routing protocols (i.e. EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) Traffic monitoring and analytics such as packet capture analysis
Moderate ability in the following areas preferred: Juniper NetScreen and SRX F5 Load Balancing Remote access and VPN
Skills Strong project coordination skills. Strong relationship management and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Strong ability to interpret impact of technology choices.
Certifications CCNP (required) CCIE Routing and Switching (preferred) ACMP (preferred) RCSA or RCSP (preferred) JNCIA (preferred)
Education B.S. degree in a computer, physical sciences or engineering related discipline. This requirement may be waived only if the candidate demonstrates expert technical abilities.
Language Skills Candidate must be fluent in English. Other language skills a plus.
Travel Light travel may be required. Candidate must have a valid passport.
Other Candidate must pass local background and security checks. Must have expert skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio).
